ironannekidd - 2010-03-17 10:04 AM I was on a search to try to find a cartoon picture of a Naval Officer for Tom, but I found nothing I liked.

I did find these random pictures though that amused me.

There is one in my album, I believe...

AN IRISH FRIENDSHIP WISH:

 May there always be work for your hands to do;
  May your purse always hold a coin or two;
  May the sun always shine on your windowpane;
  May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain;
  May the hand of a friend always be near you;
 May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.
  and may you be in heaven a half hour before the devil knows you’re dead.

Anyone doing anything fun?

I wish.  Meeting, then meeting, then work late.  The most fun I'll have today is pinching anyone not wearing green.

Well, I've got a blue shirt on right now. Catch me if you can!!! (in my best Leprechaun voice)

Consider yourself BT Ghoulie pinched, followed up with Ghoulie kisses.  Can't let Bill have them all now can we?

kcarroll - 2010-03-17 9:04 AM Hi Ghouls.  Missed hanging out but life/work has been busy the last couple days.

I hear that Kim. Great to have ou around whenever you have the time! How is today treating you?

Thanks Tom.  Today has promise yet.  I overslept this morning and didn't get my run in, BUT the afternoon looks fairly light so I'm optimistic I can get out of here in time to run before it gets dark.
Hope your sweetie is feeling better and on the upside of recovery.

Thank you Kim! She's REALLY sore today now that all the anesthesia has worn off but she's being a trooper. Right now she's sorting some beads into storage cases that I recently bought her. Sorry you missed your run, but sometimes that little extra bit of sleep is just as good. My fingers are crossed hoping that you are able to get out this afternoon!

Tom, glad to hear the surgery went well.  Hope that this helps your wonderful wife out.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it. She's VERY sore today, but she's being smart and just resting as much as she can right now. Now I need to get off my butt and get some work done

Not wanting to derail all this fine discussion about whips and being sore, but thought I'd share the attached.  There is a beautiful old estate nearby that has an eagle cam.  Last year I watched 3 eaglets hatch and make it to the point of fledging.  It was really cool and a bit nervewracking.  Apparently there is a high rate of fratricide amoung eagle chicks and the bigger ones fling the little ones out of the nest.

Here is the 2010 link in case you like watching this kind of stuff. 2 eggs confirmed in the nest. It will be like watching paint dry for a bit. Once the eggs are laid, one of the parents sits on them pretty much full time until they hatch.  Once they hatch and get bigger, it is fun.  Last year there were many interesting feedings, although a bit gory.  Many squirrels, mice, and even a snake or two made up dinner time. One poor turtle tried to crawl out of the nest.  Never made it.  No good outcome for him one way or the other once he got invited to the party.

So true.  I don't eat meat for personal reasons but I cook chicken for my cats.  (although I wear latex gloves the whole time and burn a gazillion candles so my house doesn't smell like chicken.)

Back to the whips now!

Meeting # 2 over.  Yahoo!

Found out this morning what the new hours are going to be for the library.  I totally understand why they are what they are, but with being short staffed, it pretty much means that all my staff will be working every other weekend and two nights a week.  Prior to the budget cuts they were used to one night a week and every third weekend.  I can see this going over like a lead balloon with staff, but the customers are going to like it tremendously.
