No? Never heard of Carl's. I think CA has Jack In The Box, too. Well Jack in the Box is just the Ecoli farm of America...blech...they were the chain that had the big EHEC (enteric hemorragic ecoli) in the 90's... Thanks for that. I haven't eaten at one in over 10 years so I should be safe now. |

Coli and Salmonella. It was HORRIBLE! I will not go into the details, but that was the sickest I have ever been. I was in the ER with 5 of those little warming blankets on, with a temp of 104.x and asking for more blankets because I was shivering. The nurse told me she couldn't give me anymore, she was going to bake me. I ended up getting cellulitis in my arm where the IV had been. Back to the ER a few nights later. I could feel the infection spreading up my arm and across my chest, that was really weird. |

List of Ann's diseases Pleurisy x2 Pneumonia Whooping Cough Illness I listed earlier and can't remember the name Scarlet Fever (had this then got chicken pox, the chicken pox got infected. I missed 28 days of school during the second grade) I'm allergic to iodine, which they love when I'm in the hospital or go to give blood. I have osteoarthritis in my spine along with 2 compressed discs. I've broken 3 arms, my foot in numerous places twice, all of my fingers at least once, all of my toes at least once, my nose twice, the facial bone right next to my eye I forget the name right now, 2 ribs, a hand, a wrist, and my neck in 3 places. That's all I can remember off the top of my head. I've had 4 injury related surgeries - plantar fasciitis, broken arms, ganglion cyst removed x2 I've also had over 50 stitches, not counting the ones when I had c-sections. I'm pretty sure my knee issues will have to be addressed someday, but I'll worry about that later. I'll keep on chugging along as long as my body will let me. |

Ann, I am a rank amateur compared to you. My feeble list, none of it major: Stitches on scalp, abdomen, legs - kid stuff and horse stuff 1 concussion - horseback riding 1 broken arm (skateboarding in college) 1 fractured coccyx (see above - worst of them all I think) 3rd degree burns on inside of knee - riding motorcycle in shorts is stupid Multiple fractures in left hand - bike vs car. car wins, but I was lucky. Torn medial collateral - chose PT vs surgery. mistake Degeneration at c4/c5 - avoiding surgery as long as possible, but get epidurals from time to time Ongoing battle with plantar fasciitis and patellar-femoral syndrome - I will win dammit I say keep the body fed well and give it plenty of exercise, but don't leave this world without giving it your all. They can have my organs when I'd done, but the rest of it is going to be used and abused. |

That about sums up my list. Except I went ahead and had the C5-C6 surgury (fusion). best thing I ever did. |

Almost slept in but I knew I would be mad at myself if I did! Glad I didn't! FYI - If you are a man you should not be wearing a jacket that has Cheerleader Mom stitched on the back of it - made my day seeing that this morning. I didn't run this morning either. I'm going to try and brave it this afternoon I didn't run very far or very hard, but I DID run and it felt good! Nice little 3-miler to start the day. |

Do not feel bad about your swimming!! Just keep swimming, just keep swimming... PS.^^^ is the most horrible song to have in your head while actually swimming...IMHO It's better than "Trapped Under Ice." |
