mjr66 - 2012-09-14 1:45 PM Hello good people of TAN. It is finally POETS day and I for one could not be happier. Hope we're all doing well?

Are you going to spontaneously break into rhyme?

I do like me some iambic pentameter from time to time.

I am not much of a poet but I do observe POET's day when I can.

have you guys realized that all the beautiful sounds of mother nature are just millions of animals, birds, and insects desperately trying to get laid?

Overt change of subject:

Jim.  Is it easier and/or cheaper to operate a boiler that pushes steam or hot water to heat large (1,000 gallon tanks of water) to about 165 degrees and which one will provide more temp control to be able to hold the water at a temp of say 140-150 at slowly increasing temp intervals.

Also, which one would be more efficient?

Good question.  I think about that every day.

If you can help me solve this issue, I can guarantee BT post race gatherings would be a much more intoxicatinly good time.

Nerds!!!!

Shocked,.... NO Cake for you!!!

Shocked that you are a nerd?? Really, did you not already know this???

No cake? Cry CryCryCryCry

Just because I recognized 6x10exp-23 does not make me a nerd. Besides I am way past looking at my own shoes when talking to people.  I'm polite and look at their shoes.

Man, this Wendy's hamburger is good though

That was my same thought Elaine. It's been a while since I've visited a Wendy's....may need to run extra tomorrow and go grab a burger.

You will always be better off just heating the water and keeping it in liquid form than creating steam to heat if you only need those temps!  More efficient, now if you need instant response and cost doesn't matter, steam is the way to go.  Depends on what the process is, but I would stay away from using steam unless absolutely necessary.  My opinion, but it is a big chunk of what I do for a living.

Is a water system easier to maintain than steam? My Geek mind says it would be.
