I thought that was the whole point of border babies.  cross the boarder and have a baby they are citizens and leave until they are 18.

me too?  girl I dated (from mexico), her cousin came over from Mexico for 2 months specifically for that reason.  To the best of my knowledge that baby was a U.S. citizen when it left.  Oh yeah, and it cost her $2500 to have the baby with no health insurance.

I believe but don't quote me that in Obama's case,  once he reaches the of 24 or 25 the nationality of where his father, or any parent is born, doesn't matter in regards to citizenship.   He would have had until that age to claim Kenyan citizenship based on his father's, but only for a limited time, hence the age requirement.

Just think if he did that maybe we would have a marathoner in the White House instead of a Basketball player

I am indeed. Registered as a Republican at age 18 and have not found it necessary to change that.

I've generally voted for Republican candidates at the local level (county, State) and whomever seemed right to me at the national level. On issues and propositions, I also go with what seems right to me.

Umm i think the document it is fake, you are right.  It  was faxed to the WH from Mars.  Obama is really an allien, he is just wearing a skin suit while plotting how to take over civilization from the WH.

For what it's worth, I do think the U.S.A. is the greatest nation in the world ... but then again, I'm a bit of an antinationalist. Not towards the U.S. ... to nationalism in general. What bitter words, wars, and blood for something so nebulous ...

Why would certain sections of the text be shown as groups within the one layer
but not others.

(I really want to know so I can email the explanation to a birther friend.)

Sometimes Illustrator will do funny things to a document NOT created in Illustrator.
My guess is since it's a scanned document that has imperfections (not crystal clear text being one), it is identifying some of the text blocks as "images" and others as "text" - it happens.

I think Lisa's answer is probably a little more in depth and just as easily understood.

It depends. You never said whether you are a US citizen, so it's very unclear.

Were your parents diplomats at the time of your birth?

Also, do you possess an American passport? And, very importantly, do you possess a passport from another country? The US does not recognize dual citizenship (which possession of said passport would support). The US will not allow you to retain your US citizenship if you declare your citizenship in another country.

It was used because John McCain was born in the Republic of Panama, in the Canal Zone. The Canal Zone was US territory, not state.

Actually as I understand it you can have dual citizenship but only with a certain countries including Great Brittan and I thought Canada but I could be wrong on that one.

Maybe they just want to see proof of your citizenship. Did they require you to produce any of the following?:

• Certificate of live birth
• Certificate of birth
• Birth certificate

Until you prove otherwise, their unfounded accusations won't rest and suspicions will grow! By the way, what else are you hiding? Hmmmm?

The U.S. does not disallow citizenship with another country, whether declared or held from birth. It discourages multiple citizenship, but you are even allowed to be a dual citizen with a country deemed as an enemy of the state.
