Sorry Kathy, I didn't mean to imply otherwise. I was just saying that I really enjoyed spinning (with my husband!) on the cruises I've been on. |

Extreme Veteran 425 Lenexa, KS | Subject: RE: Gingerbread Angels: The scariest biker group in Peep Town Beautiful day in Ohio today. Took advantage of the opportunity and finally got outside on the bike - 1:24 - 27 miles. Very nice to be outside. Hard to believe we had 20 inches of snow on the ground just 4 days ago. |

Expert 1580 Ankeny, Iowa | Subject: RE: Gingerbread Angels: The scariest biker group in Peep Town I got another 30 min in today (not a lot compared to some) - I missed one yesterday that I will make up tomorrow which will put me at 50% for the month. Come on everyone - lets get out there and ride. Let's be in the top 1/2 of the rankings this week. Stacie |

I didn't take it that way They had nice Lamond spin bikes on the boat that I could ride sort of in aero, but excercise room was soooooo hot I was sweating buckets. Long travel day today...sitting in Miami airport currently. I did ride 2x on the cruise..hope to ride 20-25 miles tomorrow. Happy riding everyone~

Extreme Veteran 483 Pacific NW | Subject: RE: Gingerbread Angels: The scariest biker group in Peep Town Hi everyone! How is everyone doing with their biking? I have had a few weeks of feeling really unmotivated to get on the trainer. I think a few nice days of outdoor riding ruined me for spin class. Does anyone else get totally burned out after a winter of indoor riding? What helps get you re-motivated? Last night I rounded up a few people to go on a rainy ride and it was fantastic! I'm determined to still meet my goal this month, so I have a lot of riding to do over the next couple of weeks... Unfortunately I have spin class today solely because my swim coach is teaching it and I promised I would be there. Lots of thunder showers in the forecast around here... |

Extreme Veteran 541 Virginny | Subject: RE: Gingerbread Angels: The scariest biker group in Peep Town well, i've done very little so far, thanks to that little half marathon deal. i am still waiting for my quads to stop hurting so i can go biking again. it's going to be tough - i am out of town 4 days, back one, then out 3 days, but i am determined to get biking in between that. rain is a definite bummer. at least with a spin class there's the instructor to motivate you. you just have to get there first. |

If I have to ride inside I set the trainer up with the big TV in front of me and the window to the side. So, I can see outside and on the TIVO I have all tri's and bike races taped. It works for me. But, I hear you I would much rather be outside especially if it was sunny and hot ! I can't wait for summer. |

Champion 19812 MA | Subject: RE: Gingerbread Angels: The scariest biker group in Peep Town I got just over 18 in today but I was riding during rush hour traffic so I came home a little early and will ride the trainer tonight. Funny it was about 43 when I rode and I was thinking wow it is warm and can wear less than normal and I know many folks 43 might be when they'd consider riding outside...all in perspective. I changed my blog so you guys can visit and hope the issue I had in the past is behind me. Ride lots guys...like I say any day on the bike is a great day |

Extreme Veteran 541 Virginny | Subject: RE: Gingerbread Angels: The scariest biker group in Peep Town I finally got out on my bike again! Squished in 16 miles this AM. That puts me at 38 down, 92 to go. Unfortunately, the rest of my month is crazy. We are going home for my Grandfather's funeral this weekend, so I will miss out on long rides this weekend and then I have a business trip after that. So I have 5 days in which to do my 92 miles. That's doable. I have to shoot for 19 miles each time and I'll be fine. |

Veteran 299 | Subject: RE: Gingerbread Angels: The scariest biker group in Peep Town Guys, If the weather cooperates I am going to try and do the longest ride that I have ever done on Friday. It will be hopefully around 150 minutes. We are doing a flat course so I don't forsee any problems. |

Hoping to get a bike in on Sunday and throughout the week I am there left of the month. I am still on schedule and I am hoping that work doesn't throw that off too much. So I biked-ran-biked-ran-biked. It was fun. So far I'm up to: 16h 22m 53s - 271.1 Mi I have a ride on Sunday. It is my mellow ride with friends but they don't want to ride so I'll go alone..depends on kids but may ride 2-4 hours. Happy riding Angels! |

But I WILL make my goal. I am meeting some friends tomorrow afternoon, and we'll probably do our 32 mile route. That will put me close to my goal. I can't believe we only have a little over a week to go! |

Extreme Veteran 483 Pacific NW | Subject: RE: Gingerbread Angels: The scariest biker group in Peep Town Happy Easter everyone! I just went out on a monster ride yesterday. It was only 36 miles, but it was very very hilly. The ride is named "The Mt. Pleasant Ride". The "mountain" part is pretty accurate...I'm still debating the "pleasant" part of it... I decided not to go to spin class since the sun was shining (a rarity here in the PacNW in March). It was cold and windy, but the sun was out! We started out on a typical route out of the club, but within 2 miles I realized that I may have not been very prepared for what lay ahead of us. Every time I started asking questions, they replied "oh darlin, you don't want to know" or "sweet sweet Sarah, just don't ask". By the time we reached the actual Mt. Pleasant, my legs were totally tapped out and we still had like 15 miles to get back to the gym. But I made it up (super great sense of satisfaction!) and was then treated to about 3 miles of downhill. Followed by...more hills. :-) It was a great ride through farmlands and rivers and lakes. And I feel fantastically sore this morning. Edited by sdbryant 2008-03-23 12:41 PM |
