of course, we must both be warned, that pity parties never last long in nibbs! |

I'll join you what's up? Exhibit A: Sick since Saturday, better today but weepy at bedtime (and she's not dramatic) Soooo... my immune system isn't so cooperative as we all know and now I have a horrid headache and no appetite all day. It's not lookin' good for me. No major trauma, just not looking forward to another day on vomit patrol, especially if I'm having trouble lifting up my own head!!! |

Nope, not at all, I get it completely! Plus, it's just so easy and, now this will sound mean but keep in mind I am evil, it's much more efficient. It bugs the snot out of me when someone doesn't get to the point in a voicemail... leave me a message, tell me what you want, I'll call you back at an appropriate time. With IM or texting it's very direct: "can you sub for me at 10:00 tomorrow"... nope, can't. This takes out the whole process of a voicemail asking me to call back and then playing telephone tag. |

One of the real estate agents vying for my business lost it today when he left em a long a$$ rambling voicemail instead of sending me an email as requested is that too rude of me? Nope, I don't think so at all!! That reminds me of this fun story... A couple of years ago my husband got a promotion and was transfering to Colorado. We love Atlanta but he was born and raised in Boulder, we go there a lot, love it, have family and friends there, etc. and so we were stoked. When I move, my M.O. is to give the realtor a short list of schools (cause I do major research, of course) and say not to show me anything that doesn't feed into one of these. Soooo... got a cool realtor in CO. I was looking at houses on the internet and discussing with her and trying to narrow down an area. One day I heard some stuff about the way sports were run in a particular area and I basically emailed the realtor and said I had some questions about this area. She was kind of quiet. She said she really didn't deal too much with that area but she'd get answers for me. About an hour later I had an email from her. I opened it up and it was this scathing email about how much time and effort she'd put in for me and now "someone" was "poisoning" me against the areas she had suggested. Oh, I should add that this email was written ABOUT me but written TO someone else... she accidentally put my email addy in intead of her associate's. Needless to say, my response was quick and, well, typical mila-writing. Ultimately we didn't end up moving as hubby got offered a cool job here and we weren't able to sell our house in a reasonable amount of time. |

Science Nerd 28760 Redwood City, California | Subject: RE: Challenge Chat (aka Nibbs XVI) - come join us :) zipp1 - 2008-04-29 7:51 PM Thanks for the well wishes gang. My house is fine The roof AC unit was pulled off the store where we get our pool stuff and thrown into the window at Target--a good way across 6 lanes of I-95, another shopping area...parking lot...Only debris I saw left this morning was siding in front of the pool store. Good thing we got our summers worth of chemicals a few weeks ago when he had them on sale! Traffic sucks...yesterday morning there was an accident in south bound 95. I was headed north. All the damn rubber neckers had traffic at a near stand still! It took me 25 minutes to drive about a 10 mile stretch of road (from Chippenham parkway area to Maury St) My bike is back, and she's pretty again. He taught me how to clean the chain and rear rings right so it won't get gunky again. He moved the computer to the aero bars and put on a small headlight too. I bought a summer cycling jersey and a reflective jacket that I'll wear for the early AM runs too. Glad to hear everything is ok. Also, glad you got your bike back and have everything in the right spot. I love the reflective jackets. |
