Just wanted to drop in and say hi to my soon-to-be-victorious teammates...  I'm not normally as chatty as you guys, but I'll do my best to keep up.

Page 5 and the challenge has not even started.  Please someone fill me in on the juicy details.  It is 11 in my body and I have been up since 4am.  I need to sleep, but am psyched about being in Moab.

Hi Dee

Hi Beth - had a brilliant thought come to mind - why does Beth keep saying she has to move across country when she is going from NE (NorthEast) to PA.  Not that far.  What is she doing in the Cornhusker State Games when that is in Nebraska (NE).  So I have a ton of family from Nebraska (Waco/York) area.  What part are you in - Lincoln or Omaha?  Why would you leave and head east when the great state of Colorado is just 8 hours down the road!

Hello everyone else.

Hi Bill!  good questions

so................I'm from Omaha - and oh, if I had been offered a job in Colorado, you can bet I would have been all over it!

That's cool - I feel like a dork for thinking Northeast - oh well.  I am sure you will love the Scranton area - make sure you take the kids to Jim Thorpe for some white water rafting/mountain biking.

I have to get some rest.  TTYL from Albuquerque sometime tomorrow!

LOL!

no worries - I've actually spent some time in Scranton - on business - long time ago

I'm actually moving to the Philly area

Hello again everyone...I just finished my second tri and I hurt!  A half mile swim, against the tide, 14+ mile bike ride, all hills-one more than a mile long.  It just kept going and going.  Followed by a rolling hill run.  It was awesome-but painful.

So I'm just catching up on the missed posts from yesterday afternoon, and what I can see is...

a) Pictures of boobs (well, just one) has been posted.
b) We need to pick a team pic.

Does anyone else see some kind of connection here?????

No one said tri's are easy. But you found the key - that it was "awesome"!!! Congrats.

you can always put a melon shot in your melons shot. ;0p

thanx for the well wishes, i think i caught it before i did real damage, thats what i get for overtraining and riding the bike too hard and not stretching afterward. I will take the week off and heal up for the challenge.  I am seriously considering Yoga.

So what's everyone's race schedule like?

I totally done with tri's for the year as I'm gearing up for NYC Marathon. Got 3 half marathons to do between now and then.

(oh man...what a dull post! Just can't compare to the melon shots. )

Congratulations, you both! Pink stars are very, very, very important! Get as many as you can, because before you know it, they're all gone.

But you can earn them back.

I'm in Denver, just north of Cheesman Park.  Only a mile or two to downtown.  I wouldn't mind working out if you don't mind going slow...
