In  earlier challenges one could do 110% and help out the team % . But  thats not the case this month so  i took the other option.

I've had to log alot of walking and elliptical as my achilles tendon is inflamed right behind my heel and I really don't want to have any more of a problem with that.  I have PT tonight and they do anodyne which really seems to help with inflammation.  Otherwise, I'm on target...GO MONSTERS!

Its all good ...

Running, walking, elliptical and water running can all be included dependant on your individual training goals BUT they will need to be logged as a run in your training log

Went a little further than planned since I was going this morning.  It seems Monday runs are always the toughest to get going.  So today was a no fun, gut check day.  Ran around the puddles from the rain last night, did not want to deal with wet shoes & socks.

Wow... the villainous vampires have 53 pages in their thread...and most of the other teams have 20 or more....only 6 for us....must be because we are out there running instead of in here chatting!

We have some big fires in our hills and its been smoky , did not think I should run today , so i did a long swim instead.    Better than  breathing in all that smoke.

Happy Tuesday Monsters!

How is everyone?

I was just visiting the spreadsheet and it appears that our % complete column for this week is not calculating.  Just an FYI as I'm a 100 miler.  (Easy math    )

And yes, we do run, too.

Our team knows how to run and take on two challenges at once.

Great job everyone! I did my half mary Sunday and added it to the spreadsheet. Race report is up if you want to check it out. I'm going to have to take a little time off from running though, cus my PF is pretty bad right now. I'll try to get back to it as soon as I can though. Go Monsters!!!!

Hey Monsters!

Added another 2 miles to my total this morning, so I'm right on schedule towards my goal.  Tapering now for the Denver Half Marathon this weekend...

I go away for a couple of days to work & there's all this craziness & post-padding???

What, are we all trying to become "experts" on BT or something?  Oh, I see SOME of us already are!!

Well, since I got u[ early this morning & got my 2.11 miles in (20 minutes instead of 40 because I'm a dork & didn't set my alarm clock right), I think I'll head off to sleep.

This Monster's a bit tired.

Chat later!

Hi Team - just a quick update to let you know the challenge for next month (November) has already been posted here:

http://beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=136294&posts=1&start=1

Its all about hitting your workouts for the month and being run by the lovely Travis - all you need to do is commit to 20 workouts in the month, each a minimum of 30 minutes in duration.

What those workouts are - well thats up to you!!!

Don't they always send in the clowns for the finish?  Seriously, with all the hard work of your high mileage teammates, the rest of us should be able to put our sneakers to the ground and get moving too.  First place by the end of the weekend!
