Veteran 157 Rainy WA | Subject: RE: December's "Get Your A$$ On The Trainer" challenge! Hi folks, I got on the exercise bike for 11 minutes yesterday--woohoo! Slow and steady. My next ride is this evening. I weighed myself. I'm on Team Skinny in Tri-ing for Weightloss forum so it'll be easy to track my weight. Good luck! Mary |

Extreme Veteran 333 | Subject: RE: December's "Get Your A$$ On The Trainer" challenge! Great job everyone! I did Q2 of week three of Jorge's Winter Plan yesterday and did 10 minutes today on the bike at the gym after my run. I'm excited to have a reason to get my butt on the bike! This will hopefully steer me in a good direction this month and away from the desserts. |

Champion 8903 | Subject: RE: December's "Get Your A$$ On The Trainer" challenge! Everybody's doing great with putting your riding time in your logs. It only takes me 15 minutes or so to check all the logs (42 of us now!), grab what data that I can and update everything. I'll do that several times over the course of a day, and might even email myself a copy of the spreadsheet to my work addy so I can do a nightly update from there...since I don't get home until nearly 2 AM eastern time. I had jury duty today, but fortunately we weren't needed for a trial so we were dismissed at 11 AM and now I'm home for the rest of the day (and night)! No excuse for me not to ride. I changed my saddle back to my old favorite, the 6 year old Selle San Marco that is pretty worn but is reasonably comfortable. I don't know what made me think another saddle would be better. I might have to try and sell this other one! And I had blueberry pancakes for breakfast. Over the years, that's been my "go-go food" so I'm hoping for an hour on the trainer today to make up for yesterday's pathetic effort!

Champion 8903 | Subject: RE: December's "Get Your A$$ On The Trainer" challenge! Cool...glad to have even more on board! Here is a quick version of the list of everyone with links to their logs, in case anyone wishes to leave an inspire for other challenge members. As far as your weight goes, all I'll need to know is how much you're down (or up...hopefully not) on each Monday and I'll use that in the bonus calculation! Edited by max 2008-12-02 12:58 PM |

Champion 19812 MA | Subject: RE: December's "Get Your A$$ On The Trainer" challenge! I rode outside today instead of the trainer....bike TT and it was a bit nippy, but mentally easier than grinding out as hard as I can go inside on the trainer. How do the bonus points work? |

KathyG - 2008-12-02 3:50 PM I rode outside today instead of the trainer....bike TT and it was a bit nippy, but mentally easier than grinding out as hard as I can go inside on the trainer. How do the bonus points work? You get 5 bonus points for riding 2 days in a row...10 if you ride again tomorrow, then 15 the next day. They are cumulative, so it promotes riding each day. If you skip a day you start from zero and have to begin again!

Extreme Veteran 809 Central New Jersey | Subject: RE: December's "Get Your A$$ On The Trainer" challenge! Well, my runner's knee has flaired up and is hurting big time so it looks like I am out of the challenge at least for a few days until it is feeling better. I was supposed to swim today but even avoided doing that for fear of aggravating it more. I am stretching lots and hope to swim tomorrow and then maybe back on the bike on Thursday. |

Champion 8903 | Subject: RE: December's "Get Your A$$ On The Trainer" challenge! Ugh, sorry to hear that Randi. Take a few days off and let it recover. Don't push it now or you'll risk having problems all next year. I went through the same thing with the plantar fasciitis in my feet and thought I could just "run through it" but that was a mistake. hang in there...you can always bounce back later in the month, we'll keep you on the list!

Champion 8903 | Subject: RE: December's "Get Your A$$ On The Trainer" challenge! You people are awesome! There's going to be some nice bonus points next Monday if the ones that are losing several pounds keep on track. This should be the results as far as today goes. There are a few missing, and I'll check again before going to bed around 1:00 AM
