Good thing cyclists are tough!
Its bucketing down here and meant to all weekend... I REALLY want to ride but the truck is currently on loan to a friend and I cant be bothered with the whole process that has to happen if I ride my roadie... Hoping for a break in the weather so I can get out at least for a bit! I am so glad we have a spin bike and drainers. Neither of which Ive used for a LONG time... Id hate to have to... although I suppose the gym up the road still probably has a Saturday afternoon spin class if I get desparate! |

I wouldn't have 700+ miles for the year w/o it. Its really helping my knee get better faster. If I could find a good class once a week that fit with my schedule I would probably do one but I havent...yet... How do you log distance on the spin bike? I find most bikes dont have distance on them (spin bikes) or what they do have seems to be seriously inaccurate |

Its easier... but saddle time is saddle time. Thats good... I found i got limited cross over from the spin bike time... although I think once a week would be good for specific leg strength and alternative to training.. |

Elite 4148 Utah | Subject: RE: Nibbs XXXVII Spokes - 2009-02-13 7:57 AM Man, it rained hard all night. First time I've heard 'real' rain in California in almost 2 years. Sometimes I miss those southern style thunderstorms with lightening shows and torrential rains... people out here think I'm weird b/c if we get rain during the summer I will grab a beer and go sit out in it.... |

I try to do that if I have an AM workout... have everything packed/laid out and I even write a list of what i have to do in the morning so I dont forget anything... Otherwise me and morning workouts do NOT happen! See, I am just being smart. I do what it takes go get the workouts in. yeah, you are smart... b/c it totally sucks when you forget to pack underwear or bra for after your swim... not that I've ever done ANYTHING like that before I also look at it that if I get EVERYTHING ready to go in the early am... that's a few more minutes I get to "sleep in" for. |
