I got a super long swim done today (3200 meters) but am not goin to run.  My left hammy is acting weird.  So, I will rest it today and see how it is tomorrow.  Running isn't my super power but biking is so hopefully it won't bother me on the bike.

Will begin my super-power challenge this Saturday.  I just joined the tri club and their kick-off training day is this Saturday with a swim, bike and a run.  I'll be skipping out on that cold swim, of course, but will bike and run.  From what I gather, they'll do at least 1.5 to 2 hours of biking so that'll put me at close to 50% of my goal of 5 hours in one day.

I've started out strong like this before on biking challenges, and ending up coming within just a few easy miles of meeting my goal, so I'll just work even harder this time to persevere.

oh coming within just a few easy miles of meeting your goal.

aint gonna happen this time LORA

nosiree bob.

if i have to come over there and push you on your bike the final few miles myself,

your GONNA reach that goal of yours.

come on

youre a crime stopping, villian fighting, all thats wrong with the world a righting member of X-MEN for goodness sakes!

youve got this one.  its ALL you!

ONE.

i officially registered for the MS150 TODAY.

i know. WHAT HAVE I GOTTEN MYSELF INTO?

i had serious doubts last week as to whether or not i was going to be able to prepare well.  i had a WEEK FROM YOU KNOW WHERE.

but then i took some time to think about someone close to me living w the disease, SO glad i did, cuz i got a wake up call you know.

my bad week came and went.  im SO MUCH BETTER already.

her bad weeks are here to stay.  her MS [short of finding a cure] is never going away.

so im trng and riding for her.

she struggles everyday to do even the simplest of tasks, and i forgot just how blessed i am to be fit and active.

so, time to stop whining, and start pedaling!

onward to the MS150!

78 min ride in the GLORIOUS OUT OF DOORS.

AND made it further down the trail than i did the last time i rode & in less time.

WAHOOO.

ticked off some of that SUPER POWER HOURAGE.  1.9 hours down, 11.1 hrs to go [13.1 if i reset my goal to 15]

that aint so bad.

i figured out today i only need to do 34.6 mins a day/six days a week to COMPLETE MY MISSION.

Wahoo!  Congrats on registering!  Thank you for riding!  My SIL has MS and it is a dreadful disease.  I was hoping to ride this year but with Bryan deploying, I will probably have to wait until next year.  You will do GREAT Stacie!

funny story about the dress....

i was trying it on at the store, and the zipper for this particular dress was on the side, and i was having trouble zipping it up

and i thought i couldnt be the size cuz it fit everywhere else

then i though maybe i didnt have the right bra on.  i had an everyday cotton sports bra, that was thicker.

so, i left the store not sure what to think, but as im driving down the road i realized....

even though i changed after my ride, before i got to the store [i did the quick changeroo in the back seat of my SUV w the tinted windows]

in my HASTE i FORGOT to take the heart rate monitor band around my chest right where the dress wouldnt zip.

i still had it on while i was trying on the dress and didnt even realize it.

CRACK ME UP.

THATs why the zipper wouldnt close.

go back later WITHOUT the heart rate monitor on why dont ya?
