skrtrnr - 2009-07-14 7:07 PM just read the beach at the park where i did my first OWS is open from 11-7 everyday Memorial Day through Labor Day.

cant wait until i swim my next OWS.  yes im THAT excited to try it again.  WOOT!

need to try to get one in before the 'real deal' in the big mondo Lake Erie on the 26th.

anyone swim in Lake Erie before?

stacie

Stacie,

I avoid Lake Erie at all costs.  They close the beaches around us when it rains too much because sewage gets in the lake water - yummy

Are you doing it in Erie, PA (cannot remember the name of the park down there ).  Maybe the water is nicer further south in Lake Erie.

Guess I am weird like that

sewage.

yay.

my kind of swimming water.

OI ME.

the tri is in Huntington Beach/Bay Village area, right outside of Cleveland...im thinking the water quality cant be any better THERE as opposed to Erie, PA.  yikers.

its not a definate race for me anyhows, and if the weather is crappy that weekend, im not even gonna bother.  a friend of mine lives in Cleveland, and he and i thought about doing it, just for 'kicks'....

the chance of sewage, doesnt make it all that promising though, i have to say.  guess im weird like that too....

thanks for the heads up (or is that a flush down.  LOL)

stacieb

He would be in the know then.  They talk about it on the news all the time - summer+rain=sewage at the beach - Yeah let's party!

funny.

my friend didnt even mention it....though he IS a health professional.

im sure at some point, especially if its an issue that weekend, he would bring it up.

yes.  a regular P&P FEST!

and here i thought over the last few years, Lake E was able to shake her nasty reputation.

apparently not....

Morning guys.  Today is my scheduled off day but since I blew off training for the past two days, I will be riding and running.  Not having a race on the calendar is not helping my motivation!

Oh and can someone please help me out with my horrible eating! This is getting out of hand!!!!!
