Can I ask a super-stupid question?  Where the heck is transition?  Once I park - where do I go?  It's giving me nightmares that I don't know...

I would park in one of the city's Millenium parking lots.  I will probably park in the Monroe one.  Walk down Monroe towards the lake.  At the lake there is a path to the left, that is where the transition is.  Once you park, you'll see tons of people walking towards lake, follow them.

Weather.com is a little more optimistic than Skilling...they're saying high of 65, sunny, 10-15 mph winds and 0% chance of rain.  It's going to be upper 40's when we're racking our bikes and lower 50's when we get in the water, so it's a chilly race, but overall I think it's going to be fine.

GET OFF MY LAWN!!!

Transition is just north of Monroe on the east side of Lake Shore Drive in that big giant grassy area where the bums sleep at night sometimes. It's HUGE and very hard to miss.

Look for the BT tent with the Dallas Cowboys flag and Chicago Fire flag blowin in the breeze just south of Monroe behind the snack shack. Not EXACTLY sure where we're setting up yet but it'll be in that general vicinity.

I know the weather aint that great... But I'm f$%*in excited to get in the water on Sunday.  The tougher the race, the more satisfying it will be to cross the finish line.  I just wish I was doing the Oly.  I seperated a few ribs a couple weeks back and had to transfer distances.  Maybe next year.

Good luck everyone!

Is anybody going to wear anything additional during the bike segment to stay warm?  It  is supposed to be in the low 50's from 6am to at least 9am.  I'm not sure how it will be biking after swimming in that cold of weather since I haven't trained in it at all!  I was thinking about Under Armour underneath my trishirt.

I will be wearing a cup to deal with all the potholes on Lake Shore Drive!

Hey Sailing Hot Dog, I'll see you in wave 11. I'm definitely stepping it up to the olympic next year, but this is my first tri summer and only my second race, so I'm pretty content with the sprint distance this year.

If anyone did the Harbor Lights tri in July, it's looking like the weather/water conditions will be about the same as that day. It wasnt ideal, but it wasn't too terrible. They announced the water temp that morning at 58 degrees and there was no evidence of sun all morning. I went without a wetsuit and made it through just fine.

That makes 3 of us in Wave #11 this year I think.
Plus I think Katie was in Wave #9 so that's quite a few people close together.  See you all down there on Sunday.

I am hoping to leave work at about 4 to head over!

I am wave 27.  What time does the swim start again? 6:30?  How long between each wave?

No idea what is going on - I am a mess! Undecided

I am not sure if I am going tonight or tomorrow.
Although I am planning on leaving work around 4:30 today.  Do we work in the same building?  I am at Franklin/Monroe.
