Have a great day off - sounds well deserved!  You might be able to wear the compression socks still - look a bit like sexy (short!)  tights.....!

I'm off to the pool as long as I can make it there - roads are really icy from last night.  I'm not a fan of winter at all.  Then its off to a water park with my son and some friends - unfortunately, I don't think the water slides will count towards my goals.

Have a great weekend!

ATTENTION ALL DU-DECEMBER CHALLENGE PARTICIPANTS:

Make sure that you have your training data updated in your team spreadsheet by 10:00 PM US Central time (11 East, 9 Mtn, 8 Pacific - other parts of the world - you have to do the math...) on Sunday nights.  That would be Dec 6, 13, 20, and 27.  Each Sunday night I will publish a quick run down of the team standings!

If your team has injuries or illness, we can pro-rate the goals for days missed - however, please let me know before changing the goals.

Keep up the training!  Good luck to everyone!

got a 2 mile run in last night before 3/3 basketball.  The went to BW3....stayed up to late.  I am sure tired.  Tomorrow I am scheduled for a Jingle Bell run - forecast is 28 with a windchill of 21 or 19 or something.  What am I thinking?  Have 2 trials set on Monday - and just such a busy weekend with sleepovers and parties.  Oy vey.  May have to work through lunch to keep up and turn today into a rest day unfortunately.

Well, I didn't get up at 5 am to make up for what I planned to miss tomorrow. I don't know what I was thinking last night... I am so NOT a morning person!! It must have been the wine talking...

Today is my planned day off, but I did pack my running gear so I can run tomorrow at my mom's house. We have a weekend of driving all over New York state ahead of us, but I can certainly squeeze in at least a half hour some where. I can always have my husband drop me off a couple miles away from one of our destinations. Crazy sounding, I know, but I've done it before. and have only gotten lost once!

I'm outta here soon but I hope you all have a great weekend of training!!

the day off.  so far so good, TRACY.  ALL.

the party clothes shopping has been a TOTAL BUST.

i just might have to make that little bike short, underarmour, compression sock number work.

your right TRACY.  compression socks can be VERY sexy.

hope you made it to your destination w/out too much slippin' n slidin'

tis the season.

the only slippin&slidin i want to do this time is year is on an ice skating rink or sledding hill.

as for water slides, SO TO can count towards your goals.

im the team co-captain and i say so.

hope a great time was had at the water park....im assuming indoors.

after i typed the post, i thought better of it....i DO hang around those sorts of people where if i did show up in my bikeshort/underarmour/compression sock get-up, id be the hottest chica there.

would save me a lot of money...and the aggravation of clothes shopping.

LOL.

speaking of being the talk of the party (this is one of those you know youre a triathlete when....)

last year at my husbands annual christmas party, i was wearing this sleeveless dress (red to boot)

and a male co-worker went up to my husband, and complimented my 'super buff upper arms'

later in the eve, my husband told me what the guy said to him, and i asked what did you say back...

and he was like uhm thank you.

yay.

you better say thank you.  and you should have told him to come over and compliment ME, IN PERSON TOO!

i worked HARD for those super buff upper arms....25 yd laps Xs like a gazillion.
