dagnabit is right AMY.

way to go getting out there and RUNNIN' IT.

your 22 beats my 30 something.

have you ever tried wearing a NECK GAITER.

they're pretty cool cuz you can 'heat up' the air/breath on your inhale/exhale but breathing into the gaiter.

i dont have asthma but the cold can make me cough like i do.

the gaiter has really helped from my lungs feeling like they are on fire after a cold-weather run.

just a thought.
stacieb
Yeah, I have one, but I couldn't find it! It's a black buff--and every time I wear it I feel like a NINJA. LOL. I think it's hiding somewhere with my gloves.

It was a little cold...i got a bit hot and had to remove my gloves though. Not to windy which was nice. I think my idea of lunch time runs is good to get those runs done during the week! Oh ya...I'm going to make the return to swimming and running for the half marathon happen!

found an uber easy recipe for Parmesean Crusted Tilapia.

only wish i found the recipe before i went shopping.  i needed some lemon juice.  i just did w/out it.

but i expect this to be uber yummmy too.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Thaw and wash tilapia fillets if frozen. Pat dry on paper towels.
  2. 2
Combine crumbs, parmesan, italian seasoning and garlic powder on a plate, mixing well.
  3. 3
On a different plate, pour 1 tbsp lemon juice.
  4. 4
Working 1 at a time, place a fillet on the plate in the lemon juice, sprinkle with desired amount of kosher salt (be careful about how much salt is in your parmesan, crumbs, and other seasonings), black pepper, and garlic powder. Turn the fillet over in the lemon juice and sprinkle seasoning on the other side.
  5. 5
Dredge fillet in the parmesan mixture patting it all over to coat.
  6. 6
Place in an oiled baking dish, repeat with remaining fillets.
  7. 7
Sprinkle a little lemon juice over fillets and drizzle or spray them lightly with olive oil.
  8. 8
Bake at 425ºF for about 20 minutes or until they easily flake with a fork and edges are browning (you can sprinkle some more parmesan on top if desired). You can also bake these faster at 450ºF.

Evening Ghoulies.  Just got home and waiting for a friend to come over for dinner.  He thinks I'm cooking.  He's wrong.  I have no food in the fridge and no energy to even make an omelet.  So unless he wants to play chef, we are going out.

Hey Ghoulies! I'm back! Sorry it has been so long !!!

I went through some motivation issues in Nov and in that period of time I decided to give it a break and also decided I wanted to swim again!!!! Ahh! So I have been back for 2 weeks in the water with my old club! AHHH!!! I LOVE IT

Its soooooo great to be back!
WOoooo!!!

SO my December goal is going to be a time goal I think for swimming (because I need to get my speed back) and I need to get running again! So I need to put in minimum of 3 runs per week!!! My time goal I will figure out...

Welcome back Melissa!

*Happy hello TOPpage*

aspeelma - 2009-12-02 3:00 AM Stacie - No, I don't really have a plan when I go into the weight room. I like to mix it up to keep it from getting boring. I just try to make sure my workout is kind of even. If I work biceps, then I work triceps. If I work quads, then I work hamstrings. Like that.

Tom - I hope you had a great time in AZ. I missed you. How is the running going? We've got I think about 6 1/2 weeks until our HM's.

Hey Ann. I missed you (and all the Ghoulies) too. Unfortunately, the running hasn't been going well the last few days, as work and life have conspired to make my schedule more than a little hectic. I'll get back on track though.... 6 1/2 weeks here we go!!!

Ghoulies I have to tell you something.

Yesterday was an absolutely SUCKTASTIC day!

I had one of the worst days at work I have ever had, we'll just leave it at that. I stopped at home for a few minutes before I had to go to a dr.'s appt. I pulled in the driveway and $100+ worth of lego's I had ordered for my son and nephew were scattered over the driveway and yard. My lovely Golden Lab must have thought they were for her because she ate them. She has actually eaten quite a few things I have gotten delivered. I was SOOOOO upset when I saw that. I grabbed the kids wagon out of the garage and stood out in the rain and tried to scoop them all up. I then took the wagon full of wet lego's into the kitchen because I didn't want to leave them out in the garage incase she decided she wanted a snack.

I go to the doc's, she's new there, I like her, she's very thorough. We go over everything and while my cholesterol has dropped 18 points in the past 3 months (do you think running over 100 miles has anything to do with that? ). I have other numbers in my bloodwork that she doesn't like, so I have to get more done.

I finally get home, have a little dinner, and my best friend in the whole wide world called. We were on the phone for almost 2 hours. We talked about everything! I felt better when I got off the phone with her. When I was finally off the phone my husband asked if I heard the voicemail. I told him no, so I went and listened. I got a call for an interview for a government job back where I used to work a year ago. I SO MUCH want to go back there, and being a gov't employee would be WAY better than being a contractor. So cross your fingers Ghoulies that my interview next week goes well.

After I heard the voicemail I had to go out and call my BFF and tell her about the interview 1) because I knew she would be happy for me, and she wrote my resume for me and 2) because she works there!!!

Have a slam dunk day Ghoulies!!!
