Ive dont tons of road races in my life, but my first tri will be in May. I would guess from what you have said, the couch to sprint would be a good plan for you (everyone feel free to correct me if Im wrong ), since you haven't got a base of working out to start from. Personally, if I were you, I wouldnt worry about upgrading your bike until you determine how much you like the sport. If you find that you really like it and want to do more triathlons in the future, you can alway buy another bike down the road. I too, am new to BT. So far I can tell you that your in a good group for knowledge and advice. There are those of us who are brand new to the sport (but have backgrounds in other sports ), those who have completed some triathlons, and then of course those who are really serious. Best of luck. |
