Master 2042 Albany, NY | Subject: RE: Hugs - February Challenge Thanks for all the advice on my leg cramps, everyone. They are definitely warm at night with the "cocoon" I bury myself in at night - flannel sheets, electric blanet to pre-heat the bed, regular blanket topped off with a down comforter. I LOVE bed time! I think my nutrition is ok, maybe a little light on the calcium. But I could certainly use some improvement on the stretching and fluid intake. I have making a real effort to drink more water during the day but it's still probably not enough. There just never seems to be enough time to stretch the way I should. What drives me nuts is that it is just my right leg and foot. My left one is as happy as a clam! Maybe I should have made stretching my "love" for the month... OK, I have to stop playing on BT and get some work done! |

Master 2042 Albany, NY | Subject: RE: Hugs - February Challenge ebshot - 2010-02-02 11:32 AM What's for lunch everyone? I am thinking a nice smoked turkey sandwich on wheat with lettuce, tomato and hot peppers. Maybe an apple or an orange too. Oh, that sounds so good... I detest waiting in line at the deli for a half hour so I never seem to have any lunch meat. So I seem to end up with a lot of pb&j like my kids. I'll probably just end up eating my fruit and carrots that I brought instead, and be STARVING by mid-afternoon. The good news is I have no $$ with me so I can't raid the vending machine! |

Expert 1246 West Grove, PA | Subject: RE: Hugs - February Challenge The one thing our company cafeteria does well is big salads. Romaine Lettuce, blackened chicken, tomatoes, peas, beats, croutons and crumbled bleu cheese... topped off with low cal ranch. It's fabulous, it's only $5 and keeps me until dinner. Unfortunately, it's only about 3 days a week they have it. Other days are Subway. I got my 1250 yards in at the pool at lunch. Are those foot cramps contageous??? Because my foot was cramping up during the swim and my pace was pathetic. |

I had just planned a short run for last night to see how my crampy calf was feeling. Got that done and it was ok, but then all night my foot was cramping! Ugh! This happens occasionally and I don't really know why, but for now I am just going to plod along. Also got 4 bonus miles on on the trainer so I could finish the epidode of 24. How did I get to the point that I'd rather fool around on the trainer rather than sit on my butt to watch tv? : ) I have problems with my feet and legs cramping but have found if I drink a gatorade type drink after my workout, I don't have any problems. |

I'm on my 4th...the first one literally fell apart, second one was a single and I have two kids, third was a nice double Kelty bought and resold on craigslist (for a profit, yay) and the fourth is a convertible jogger/bike trailer. If only it had pontoons, I could take them OWS with me... When are we doing our solidarity long run? I'll push the babies...it's kinda my thing. BTW, what is an as hort???? Its amazing to me that anyone can run with those joggers. Especially a double. I always stare in amazement as they pass me. I would really be embarrassed if you swam passed me towing the kiddies along behind you. |

I mean I am slower than the lady walking in the lane next to me and the dude doing drills on the other side. But I WOULD swim with them if I could...it's the only way I get a workout sometimes. FWIW, my husband tells a HILARIOUS story about being passed during the Chicago 1/2 Marathon by a guy pushing a jogger...DH is a decent runner but he estimates this guy was doing sub 6 minute miles...flew by like he was standing still. We figure the guy hid out until the last minute and then hopped on the course with the jogger and crossed the start line before anyone could stop him, then ran the rest of the race passing people like a bat out of hell... |

This is my first challenge. I asked for a chatty group and it looks like this is definitely chatty. 5 pages and its the first day of the challenge! Hi Paul, Welcome to the challenge forum! AND this month's "Team Chatty." Your "secondary goal" this month is to get to 200 posts by Feb 28th. LOL My name is Paul. I'm married with one son that is graduating from high school this year. I am working toward my first tri and to get back into marathons. My love this month is running and I need to rebuild my base. My goal is to run two days a week at least 3 miles plus a long run of at least 5 miles each Saturday. Total running sessions 12, total miles = 45. Challenge accepted but it will be my third goal for the month. Goal 1 = running, Goal 2 = get down to 200 lbs, goal 3 = get up to 200 posts. I've added about ten posts on various threads today, which I realize is still pretty light compared to some of you heavy posters. We'll see if I can keep it up through the end of the month. |

Copy it (CTRL + C) - At the top of the screen, click 'settings" - Click Training Blog Customization - Click Dashboard - Paste the table (CTRL + V) If that doesn't work.... Method #2 will be described in the next post. Here's the revised table:

Elite 3460 Slackerville, USA | Subject: RE: Hugs - February Challenge D001 - 2010-02-02 6:19 PM I'm not amazed that they are passing me, that's a common thing for people to pass me. In the pool, on the track, on the road, I'm always getting passed. I'm amazed that they can run with a jogging stroller like that. It's taking all I have to go as slow as I do and they go cruising by with all the extra weight and effort that goes along with pushing a jogging stroller. That's what amazes me is that they can run with the stroller. I guess another issue for me is that my stride is so long that I'm always kicking things that I try to push. Shopping carts drive me nuts because I have to take these itty-bitty steps to keep from kicking the cart.pdbman - 2010-02-02 3:12 PMIts amazing to me that anyone can run with those joggers.
