mchally - 2010-03-25 2:06 PM well I am finally caught up.  I'd love to stay and chat bill, but my mom is ready to throttle me.  'If you are here to work you need to start working....'

I better go before she blows a gasket or attempts to confiscate my computer.

Tata for now!

Thanks for stopping by   Tell Mom the TWISTER's say hi!!!!
Dude!  she did throttle me...but not for being online.  I was making strange sounds while I was playing with her dog.  She heard it and interpreted it as my little sister having a bad seizure.  She came out and found me and the dog romping and 'attacked' me with all the adrenaline I had cause to flow through her veins.  She grabbed me by the neck and shook me around...it was in fairly good humor.  It literally happened within a minute of me making that post.

I know I should not have but I laughed my butt off reading this.  One of those parent things like you are trouble for scaring the carp out of me and you are going to pay - right?

Been there done that!
No worries, I was laughing too.  The timing was perfect!

Our Ghoulie Challenge Team has been together since October I think - we are not Nibbs but we have quite a few threads out there - never bothered to count pages though - at least 12 would be my guess though!
maybe I need to make friends with the ghoulies...are they an open group?  Innocent

No you are not related to my butt (did that even sound right?) but my butt was the topic and then I was wondering where you were??

It was sort of quiet without you in here!

Thanks Bill...as you know from the ghoulies thread its been a rough 2 weeks...but to update everyone else to my absence:

Ive had to complete a clinical elective...I chose internal medicine--nephrology. It is a fantastic speciality in my opinion; however, I had to deal with some pretty rough stuff early on in my medical career like being apart of the team telling a patient that they have cancer and that the prognosis was pretty poor. Its a reality that you know exists, but its different actually doing it/being in that situation. So I've probably spent 20-25hrs doing that.

Then Ive had some committee stuff for monetary allocation to recreation on campus...so another 9hrs of meetings and deliberations...

ya...I have an indoor tri this sat...hopefully my past 3-4months of training pays off and the past 2 weeks have minimal effects!

This is why I didn't become a doctor. More time than I want to give to a job.  Plus I've learned that programmers can make as much as a doctor.  I like my job.  Different strokes for different folks.

With the Obama health plan, programmers will probably make more than doctors now!  Oh god, I just didn't bring politics into this discussion? Foot in mouth

Oh boy - here we go - LOL

I'm in Canada...doesn't really effect me too much haha. Yay Canadian health care...so programmers prob make more than docs here anyways..

I just finished my normal lunch run.  I cut it to 4 miles instead of the usual 5 because I just wasn't feeling it.  Normally by mile 2-3 I get into the zone where running becomes almost effortless.  But today was a little harder, and my HR was about 8-10 bpm higher than normal.  I figured it was my body's way of telling me it wasn't up to par.

??tri808 - 2010-03-24 2:47 PM Also, the sun is starting to rise earlier, and set later...which means longer times to train...=)
Yeah, it is GREAT to get up and be able to run in somewhat light!!! Plus, I love running during that time of day when you can literally see day breaking!

I prefer running when its dark and peaceful.  It is nice to watch the sun come up occasionally though.

I love that also Paul but I'm totally blind in the dark so I wind up running funny since the paths around here aren't exactly the best!
