You have to give to to Messi, though, for creating opportunities.  He was behind the scenes in just about every goal.

Yes he was.  And I feel bad for him because you know the critic will say he is no good because he didn't score enough/any goals.

Where exactly did the Greek keeper think that ball was going?  He can't blame that one on the Jabulani

Well, I've finally got some time to watch a little WC at work today. Just watched Mexico score--borderline offside. Mexico up 1-nil at 66 minutes. The commentator got a dig into France, declaring it "justice delayed".

Funny how ESPN chose not to show the freeze-frame of that play...

They just said that this will be the very first time ever Mexico has beaten France AND that they have never beaten a previous WC Champion.

They also said France had never lost to a Concacaf team in the WC.

Mexico are in a weak group, and they were lucky to get a tie with South Africa.

6 in the first half, 3 in the 2nd.
Kind of like Netherlands v Portugal in 2006.

Another upset?

I don't know if I would count Mexico over France as an upset.  Mainly because France had been playing just so horribly leading into the Cup AND they barely made it in.

That is why I bet a tie on the France v Mexico game.
