Elite 3460 Slackerville, USA | Subject: RE: September FOCUS Team Chattery Good morning peoples. Got a ride in last night. I don't think I will be able to ride in the evening for too much longer. Its starting to get dark earlier and it won't be long before it'll be too dark to head out by the time I get home. |

Elite 3460 Slackerville, USA | Subject: RE: September FOCUS Team Chattery Its back to school night out here too. While I do miss my son now that he is off in college, I have to admit that I did a little silent cheer when I realized where the other parents in the neighborhood were and that I won't have to worry about going any more. |

Expert 1099 Broadlands | Subject: RE: September FOCUS Team Chattery short run this lunch time, planning the weekend long run, had 20 miles on agenda, SO has to work all Sunday so may have to get out super early....ah the joys of training early. still I am thinking of going back to the trail I did last weekend as that was such an amazing run I enjoyed it so much I was sad to cut it short. |

Elite 3460 Slackerville, USA | Subject: RE: September FOCUS Team Chattery OK now I'm jealous. You brought up trails and I realized I haven't done any running or riding on trails this year and we've already had our first snow in the mountains this year. Maybe I'll have to re-evaluated my plans for Saturday to see if I can work in a trail run. |

I have a question for you. With all that swimming you've been doing, has it become your favorite sport yet? |

Elite 3460 Slackerville, USA | Subject: RE: September FOCUS Team Chattery Last night was another perfect night for a run. Headed out at almost 11. It was quiet and there was a full moon so it wasn't too dark. Temperature was almost perfect. It was cool enough that I almost didn't sweat. I felt a bead slip down my forehead about 2 miles into the run. I'm actually excited for the cooler temparatures and to be able to go running in the snow again. I know it's crazy but it's something that I enjoy. The only problem with that is it will mean the end of biking for a while. Such is life, you have to take the good with the bad. Maybe it will get me back in the pool. |

No, swimming remains my least favorite sport. Tolerated at best. I lasted 10 minutes on the trainer before my leg got tight. Got off, iced it and stretched. I won't be trying again for several days. |

Elite 3460 Slackerville, USA | Subject: RE: September FOCUS Team Chattery I ran. It wasn't a good run either. I wasn't able to make it out to the trails. Its was just too busy. I headed out after the family bbq, which was a mistake. I should have made time earlier. As it was I headed out about midnight and was just too full from all the food. Its a really pretty night though. Bright moon and quiet, what more could a person ask for. |

Expert 1099 Broadlands | Subject: RE: September FOCUS Team Chattery 13.5 miles trail run Sunday Morning. was hoping to do more again, but had to stay close to car. My wife went into labor Friday in the early hours, she's only 32 weeks so they worked all day Friday to stop it, they have said we should have at least the next week clear with the drugs she's been given to stop the process, but I didn't want to be too far and take too long out, she's also supposed to be on bed rest but she wont sit still for more than 5 minutes.....something about nesting..........not sure if anyone has tried to argue with a 32 week mum to be, not easy...... The best bit, we were so not ready with the hospital bag and all the stuff for new baby, woke friends who were not expecting it at 5am, they're the godparents to be so were happy enough to take our other snappers. We rushed to the hospital with almost none of the kit you need in the hospital bag. After getting back home from that on Friday it was super panic buy time, went and dropped a fortune we probably didn't need to, now I am pretty sure we have everything...and some :-) and I bet now that we're ready Lainie will go full term :-) Because of the events this weekend, all our friends are not letting us do anything, our dinners have been cooked all weekend by neighbors, they have been dropping them off each night, and there's even a roster through this week that they have all chosen days on to prepare the meals. I tried to explain I wasn't actually on bed rest and was able to throw a meal together, but none of them would have it. I saw them all at a softball tourney Friday night for my sons school, everyone knew, everyone was supportive and everyone wanted to help. one of the great things I've noticed about moving here to the US, and this community. Anyway, long rambling way of saying I got a run in Sunday and it was a great trail run, if a little short, and I'm thankful for the people we have around us :-) |

Elite 3460 Slackerville, USA | Subject: RE: September FOCUS Team Chattery Sounds like you had a bit of a scare. I'm glad things turned out ok and hope she does go full term. Its a lot less scary that way. Its also great to have great neighbors that are willing to step up and lend a hand. Keep us updated on her progress. |

Expert 1099 Broadlands | Subject: RE: September FOCUS Team Chattery just managed to take an hour and a half with a colleague for lunch and got in a nice run with time either side to warm up and stretch off properly....yeah! 7.5 miles done today, plan on the same tomorrow, now manic schedule, then if I clock a little run Thursday I'll hit the 100 for the month...I know it's a poor 50% of target, but this month has been one heck of a struggle on the training and without this challenge, I doubt I would have bothered with half of the runs I did, so sorry for the 50% guys, but thanks for the team...will try harder next month :-) promise........
