Another boring random thought - after today I will have gone 72+ hours without pop.  That is a record in my book

But today is a challenge - I left my Arnold Palmer drink at home so what will Bill do for lunch time liquid consumption?

Sorry Nekkid - alcohol is not an option!

Can you get water somewhere?

It took a while but I am now in the habit of drinking water during the day.
Let me clarify: COFFEE in the am, then water throughout. Sometimes a green tea in the afternoon.

Oh that is a given - I drink so much all day long I need some different tastes with my lunch!

Maybe there is someone around that has one of those little pouches you can dump in your water for flavor.

ceilidh - 2010-10-14 7:58 AM Morning Bill.

Hey, compare to this, Bill: I have not been in the water since MAY!

I have clearance to get in the pool in November. I will need to re-up my pool membership.

Ouch - that would not be good.  I love my swimmy swim time

Ya, I am a fish out of water. I am not thrilled with just doing laps but I can be in the water all day. I vow to get in the lake way more next year.

I was just on the Warrior Dash website. There is a new race in PA, near the Poconos next June. The course looks great, I like the looks of it better than the one I just did, mainly because the one obstacle that kicked my butt isn't on the new course.

I love it when I get there but it is a 35 minute drive. Then the changing room- It is mostly elderly folks there so they take a long time in the locker room. There are only three showers and a small bench- my quickest time in there has been 20 minutes.  Then the 35 minutes back. It is a whole morning dedicated to getting a swim in.

Oh, and I forgot. There are only 5 lanes and the older folks DO NOT SHARE A LANE!!!

I am doing my best to get a couple of my friends and DH to do one with me. I would do it alone but it would def not be as fun.

Definitely more fun with a friend!

Would you do the one in Georgia? They are adding new ones to the site, and even the course for Georgia is apparently going to change, which is a good thing, it looks like you would do A LOT of running before you'd get to the obstacles.

Yep, the site in Ga is only about 2 hours away. It is actually in the area where there are a bunch of wineries and the Chatooge river of Deliverance fame. It is a fantastic river to kayak on. I don't do the class 3-5 areas but it is great to raft those. If we go we'll camp and ride bikes and raft and drink wine and be warriors.

wgraves7582 - 2010-10-14 8:13 AM It is funny at our pool - we have a doctor that everyone calls splash and they all hate to swim with him.  I just consider it OWS practice.

Guess OWS practice would be beneficial if I even did OWS races - or more specifically triathlons!

Oh well there is always next summer

Ya think you may do a tri this year, Bill?

wgraves7582 - 2010-10-14 8:49 AM I have something on my mind ladies:

If your husband was more excited to show your son's senior picture to your friends than you are - would you be worried?

Is there something wrong with the picture?

Literally or figuratively??

Literally. One year I shunned the current photo of DD for the previous year because the sweet little thing had made a stupid face for the photo for a dare. (I was for not paying for the things at all). If that is the case- she is just not fond of that photo- then I would not be worried. The other option is worrying.

Of another idea... is she freaked out because her kid is a senior. That can be hard to swallow- her little boy being old enough to be a SENIOR.
