Oy Vey, Stacie!

I'm surprised the school didn't contact you either, especially since he has the emotional support teacher. I understand the school can't contact the parent of every child who is failing a class, but I think this would fall under special circumstances.

i think that's where my beef is as well.

first he has special needs, been ID as such

has a emotional support teacher who i think SHOULD be aware of what is happening to the kids that shes assigned.

they always seem like they are REACTIVE rather than PROACTIVE.

i understand that my son has his part to do too - he doesnt turn in homework - and believe me i am not asking for them to excuse that behavior - you get what you get if you make a choice not turn in your work - but still, i would think that someone there would be paying attention.

its hard to do that from home.  so i am at a complete disadvantage because i dont know what he's doing there to even begin to know what needs to be done to help him.

days like this i wish i could be his BSC rather than his mother.

i could meet his needs better in that capacity for sure.

VERY TRUE INDEED.

BREATHE.

BREATHE.

BREATHE.

my one consoliation is that he is doing well in all of his classes except TWO.

he's a smart kid and if we can just get him through the next 4 years he's gonna be OK.

but man oh pete, teenagers are tough.  you aint kidding.

but we survive.  they survive.

i was a teenager once too.

Morning Ghoulies

Kendra, HI, going dancing or biking this weekend?

I was hoping to go out on the motorcycle Saturday and the bicycle Sunday, but it looks like it is supposed to rain all weekend.  bummer.  Otherwise no plans except to work around the house.  Not very exciting.

I have a plan.

Gov't lady who doesn't like me doesn't like that I start work at 6:30, she doesn't want me to start before 7:00. I know, stupid, right?

I come in at 6:30 because I'm usually awake between 4 and 4:30. There is a gym on base, that was just built within the last year, that I can use for free.

I'm going to start coming here when I get up in the morning and working out before work. I can shower at the gym then come to work. I am going to try doing that next week and see how it goes. It is still too cold and dark to run in the mornings. I'll see how it goes.
