Day 10 - 3.33 miles.  Definitely wasn't feeling it beforehand but glad I got out for a shorty.

Thanks again for suggesting this.

Day 11 in the books - Yesterday was my longest run of the streak (6.35 miles) so I thought I would take it easy today....started running and felt great - so I ran my 4.7 mile route (instead of the planned 3.2) and ran it in 36.33....my splits were

Mile 1 - 8:06

Mile 2 - 7:50

Mile 3 - 7:55

Mile 4 - 7:42

I normally run in the low 8's!!!  This streak is awesome so far.

That's pretty solid brother....nice work!

Day 15 for me.....just a 2.2 pain free....I'm loving life.  I'll never take running pain free for granted again!

Make sure you take some easy pace days running so you do not injure yourself. Even if you feel great it will catch up to you. I have learned that on my current streak of 309 days.

Day 309 and ran 8 by 1/2 mile intervals for a total of 8.1 miles with warm up and cool down. Best set of intervals in a while, slowest one was 6:30 mile pace and best was 6:18. The cooler fall temps are helping for sure after the heat of the summer.

Day 11. Felt great on my usual 3.5 mile loop, reversed this time to go DOWN the wall instead of up it.

Im in ~ Day 5 here.  I actually posted the challenge on my FB wall and now have a group of tri/non-tri, fit/non-fit friends joining me. Great time to get into a routine now before the crazyness of the holidays are upon us. Thanks for the challenge.

I will take your advice.  I have been injured once, and don't want it again.  I promise to slow it down today and tomorrow.

Day 9 in the bag. Last night I got in my workout after 10, when I could have been reading a book and eating pie with my wife. Stupid streak...

Day 10, two runs totaling 7.85 miles (first run was just one mile to see how fast I could do it).

#16 is in the books.  Went ahead and did 4 since that's my "long" run for now.  I'm close to doubling last month's total so I'm paying attention to ANY sign at all that PF is flaring again.....so far so good. I'll go back to 2 miles for the remainder of this month.

Day 10 (of 11 - I missed a day last week to a 13 hour work day). I will have to find a day to double up to reclaim my 100% status. Husband found a pair of Asics Kayano 17s on the 50% off clearance rack at Famous Footwear last weekend. What a great pair of shoes at just the right time!

This is definitely more than I have run in a long time so I am only doing 3-4 miles a day and still doing some biking and swimming. Amazing that it is still warm enough for OWS up here in the PNW. I am loving it! Plus I hate the treadmill sooooooooo much, running outside is really becoming an enjoyable experience each afternoon.

I officially signed up for my 10k on October 14th. I am now confident that I will be trained up!

I'm in. I will start on Saturday. Saturday I will be participating in my first Sprint Tri so I think it will be a good start for my next challenge.

This is incredible how many people have joined the challenge.

I would like to throw out a "safety" reminder - especially to those of you that aren't 16 anymore....

Increasing your running distance, duration, or speed too rapidly can (and probably will) lead to running injuries - namely Achilles Tendinitis.  Please be careful in bumping your weekly mileage, pay attention to your body, and avoid injury.

Good luck to all the new people that have joined the challenge.

As a co-founder, let me add......listening to advice from Muskrat or me about running can lead to injury faster. Laughing

But yeah, we're flexible, be safe...if you miss a run because you  need a rest to avoid injury, we'll give you a voucher for a free run. Cool

So you two are responsible for this carniage!

I've felt a time or two that I was on the verge of overtraining, I did very short very slow but really the best move is rest........

Had a good run last night that I wouldn't have without the challenge, I'm 12 runs in 11 days now.

just finished my Day 11 workout.... slow treadmill run that was an easy pace, but difficult so closely on the heels of a long run last night at 10pm. Next run isn't until tomorrow evening, so plenty of recovery time coming

By the way, because of this, I am having my best month of running, ever! It's coming at the perfect time, too, as I've been needing to build my base to get ready to start an 18-week marathon plan.

2.5 miles at an 8 minute pace.

Confession. I missed 2 days only because I'm working 4 nights in a row this week and I was too darn sleepy to run when I got off Embarassed.  Getting back on track tomorrow.
