Oh Meh my ex realized that I am going to fight to keep my kids here and if we went to court I would fight for more custody so she dropped the idea of moving. All of her emails were just scare tactics like a little dog barking.

Soooo relieved and didn't even have to go to court.

great news!  now you also know any time she pulls stuff like this in the future, she is just playing and you can call her bluff every time.  always be prepared to back up what you say - but with the confidence that it's all a front anyway.

i was thinking, keeping the kids in CA is better in the long term because of college tuition.  are state schools still super subsidized for residents?  that is a LONG WHILE off but a very real benefit.

It's a lot cheaper when you live in CA and go to a CA school.

Hi TAN,  now that the tornado warning is over for Chicago, I've got a 5 hour bike ride to do.  Yay? 

Also, in the holy crap FINALLY something GOOD is happening... the friend is going to lend us the money for the immigration lawyer!!!  We can actually start to get things done and submitted!!!  (like this stupid medical exam that I have to go get done, ugh)

I hope you're not woooing over the bike ride - cuz I'm certainly not!   But...  If you're woooing over the other - HUGE WOOOOO!!!!!   I was crying last night I was so happy when we got the phone call.  This is absolutely going to save our collective azz.

Yep, I'm doing all I can to get you 'muricans to spell properly.  I've been told it's contagious.  Either that, or you're all going to start seeing maple syrup as a necessity to life.  

NEVER!!!  I may be living in America, but I'm always going to spell properly!!! 

It's a requirement for absolutely everyone going through the immigration process.  Not only a general medical exam, but also all the tetanus shots, etc.  Oh and tests for TB and Syphilis just for kicks.  

Alrighty TAN peoples, I'm out to go get my 5 hour bike ride done - if I don't go now I'll find reasons NOT to go get it done.
