Lucky! I'm watching Hotel Transylvania with my two kids and making pop corn for them. Enjoy the night.

We are having frog choker rain this weekend.  I got the boat back from the boat doctor yesterday. (New transmission.  Twenty years of teaching people to ski will eventually do that.) I launched it in a light drizzle.  I has been raining ever since.  It is also only about 55 degrees.

Best thing I have done today is to move a couple of small tables to the dormer of an upstairs bedroom for a computer work area.  It makes a nice arrangement, is quieter than downstairs, and gives me a great view of the lake.  I have been watching the rain and working most of the morning.

But, but, but... I'm such a good helper when it comes to wine!  Ooooooh... now I get it.  You just don't want to share - I'm fine with that, I rarely like to share part of my wine serving either.   

What a wonderful weekend!  That darn white suff is melting.  Rode the lakewalk with kids.  Snowboots, snowpants, hats, mittens...RETIRED!!!  Bring on the mud!!!

Yes this will be another drive-by week until I find someone trust worthy to hire, I will be back to 60-80 hour weeks.

was at a baby shower for my hipster sister-in-law this weekend and her hipster friends, where the mom-to-be having sangria was no big deal but me saying i wouldn't breastfeed got attacked like i was a terrible human.  that was fun....

i drank a LOT of the sangria that day.

Morning TAN.

Body is still a wee bit tired and stiff from the weekend.  Fun times, though.  My 10 miler race turned into a Team RWB flag run, and in my marathon relay at the Zoo my team took 5th overall of 89 teams. W00T!  Everyone participating even got to be the first people to see a new dinosaur exhibit - life sized animatronic dinosaurs that we ran past on every lap.  It was a lot of fun.  Family photos yesterday will probably show up on AwkwardFamilyPhotos.com at some point.

Friday was my boys bday so we had a steak dinner just the two of us and talked. Saterday we had a party for him and had a lot of fun and he made new friends with my friends kids.  Sunday I felt like I was getting sick so we just hung out most of the day and played games. So all in all a good weekend, how was yours?

not too bad, weather was gorgeous, went to see les mis last night and bought a ton of new clothes yesterday morning.  my running is getting really consistent and kind of easy, had a wonderful run saturday morning and looking forward to another tonight.  hope this rain stops, bleccchhhh.

I like this idea... then again, I pretty much like any idea that involves wine!   

Thanks - today is my LAST day of freedom and I'm trying to figure out what to do!

Yeah, I was at a shower a few years ago and before people realized that I couldn't have kids, I was getting raked over the coals for not popping out at least one already. 

It's always fun to listen to them gang up on me and tell me all kinds of crap about being a parent (my personal fave was being told it was "my duty to society to procreate") and then tell them that I can't have any because of a radical hysterectomy from CANCER.   That shuts 'em up every time.   

Did you like Les Mis?  I've heard a really wide spectrum of reviews from fantastic to piece of over the top, over-hyped crap with bad singing and everything in between. 

i saw a live production of it that was phenomenal.  the set design more impressive than any actual actors in it...

i refuse to see the movie.  i've been a fan of the music since 8th grade and will not let hollywood actors and actresses ruin it for me.

YOUR DUTY TO SOCIETY?  maybe it's meant as a compliment....like you are smart and interesting and hard working and would raise a little person better than a lot of people out there that are having them?

That's a great feeling when you feel like running is second nature instead of a chore. I had a run like that last week.

I haven't seen it live for over a decade now, but if it comes to Chicago I will definitely be buying tickets. 

In some ways I wish I hadn't seen the movie, Russell Crowe was terrible, and quite frankly I didn't think Hugh Jackman had the voice to carry it off either.  But I really had NO idea that Anne Hathaway had such an amazing voice.  Oh well, it was a good way to kill 3 hours on Christmas day, Tony might not agree with that assessment though...
