Veteran 216 | Subject: RE: mosc11's Group - FULL happy wednesday everyone (writing on tuesday night but you will all probably read on wednesday). just wanted to congratulate you all on your first week of the challenge, we may be changing it minutes avg per team because we seem to have one less participant. but...llyodk9 we want you with us so join in soon so our whole team can do this together.
don't forget though ladies win or loose it is about reaching for our own goals and it doesn't matter in the end who gets bragging rights. keep on inspiring one another and give this minutes challenge as well as the challenge of being a triathlete all that you have!
so proud of you all! |

Veteran 216 | Subject: RE: mosc11's Group - FULL btw that 467 number to the side of the total is our avg # of minutes per person, i think we will remain i short than their team so we will go by averages |

Veteran 155 Decatur, GA | Subject: RE: mosc11's Group - FULL Oh! and way to go everyone!! You can definitely tell by the numbers that everyone is pushing themselves to get a little bit extra each day. We all deserve a big pat on the back for pushing and stretching ourselves! |

13 | Subject: RE: mosc11's Group - FULL Ok, I finally posted my workouts (it took me this long to figure out the training log!). It's been a rough week (temps well below zero, our furnace went kaput, working 10-plus hour days...) but I have managed to do some type of exercise most days. When I logged a sport other than swim bike or run, it didn't show up in my weekly total. Is there a way to get that to show up in the box at the end of the week, or does the calendar only total up swim, bike and run minutes? Brenda |

Veteran 216 | Subject: RE: mosc11's Group - FULL hey...hope everybody had a great weekend and found lots of time to workout, i know my sunday minutes could have been better and i will try to make up for them this week. congratulations to mindy who ran a 10K race this weekend, GREAT JOB! and check out karen's wedding band picture on her log, very pretty!
the vamps have an extra member, seems that a mentor had to bow out of a group so there were some stragglers looking for a home. since this woman klynne had completed the danskin race with mary and myself she asked to join mary's group. of course mary said yes. they wanted to know if we wanted to include her time in the challenge, initially i said no. but then i figured i'd ask what you guys think. we could then do an average at the end. let me know what you think.
keep inspiring one another and lets get a little chatter going on here, we are only on page 4 for this thread.
as always i am inspired by all that you have done and all that you continue to do. looks like i will be dealing some snow mid week here. AAUUGH! |

Veteran 155 Decatur, GA | Subject: RE: mosc11's Group - FULL Sure why not, but then we get to add my partner to our group. She logs at least half again as many minutes a week as I do, if not more. hehe.
Seriously, I'm okay with it. The challenge is really about getting us all to push ourselves to get out an exercise. So, if she's a member of their group, she should be a part of the challenge. Then we can just average minutes. |

Master 1888 Winder, GA | Subject: RE: mosc11's Group - FULL I'm okay with it too. It's not her fault she had to join another group after we'd already started. I'm fine with taking their average. |

Champion 6107 Out running or enjoying a fine glass of red... | Subject: RE: mosc11's Group - FULL I say let her play & average our minutes! I did a good brick today - 40 minutes on the bike and 20 minutes on the 'mill. (Plus a 5 minute cooldown walking - don't forget those extra minutes!) I just couldn't make myself get in the pool today - I don't know why, it's mental I'm sure, but since I did the bike and run today, I have no excuse but to swim tomorrow. An interesting note - one of the Y's I go to installed new individual TV's on each treadmill, with full channel control (and full cable). Other than having to wait occasionally to get on a mill, it's kind of cool (and kind of distracting, which is good and bad, I guess). I'd much rather have a TV on the bike, where I'm sitting still enough to watch it. Have a great week everyone. I've moved it into high gear so I can catch up with y'all! Kristen |

Veteran 155 Decatur, GA | Subject: RE: mosc11's Group - FULL At the Y I go to all the cardio equipment has that individual tv with full cable. There was a point in time where I was going to work out just to watch a certain tv program because I don't have cable. How bad is that?! |

There was a point in time where I was going to work out just to watch a certain tv program because I don't have cable. How bad is that?! OK, I simply have to know - what show is worth doing cardio just to watch it? (I've watched Top Chef, Project Runway, and ESPN in the times I've been since the TVs were installed...) |

Veteran 155 Decatur, GA | Subject: RE: mosc11's Group - FULL enders_shadow - 2007-02-13 6:03 PM OK, I simply have to know - what show is worth doing cardio just to watch it? Well, this is going to sound silly, but remember I have no cable. Actually, we keep the tv unplugged and covered up in a corner and never watch it except when we rent movies. So, I'm totally tv deprived. Whew! Now that I've got the disclaimer out of the way... It was reruns of "Ellen." I didn't watch it when it first aired and had never seen it before until I happened to be riding the stationary bike at the Y one day. I got hooked and started coming back every morning from 9-10 to ride the bike or walk on the treamill and watch back to back episodes for an hour. Pretty sad, huh? |

Veteran 216 | Subject: RE: mosc11's Group - FULL i could not judge you because i would do it to see oprah! believe it or not my new less schwanky gym has a cardio cinema room. they have a schedule of movies and then in front of almost a full size movie screen they have rows of bikes, treadmills, ellipticals and steppers. you could see an entire movie. the only problem is that i think they let all the muscle head guys pick the movies, every time i check the schedule its a shoot 'em up movie. |

I'll try to get something in, but please accept my apologies for dragging the team down. I'll be back on the 'mill (and hopefully in the pool) tomorrow. Happy Valentine's Day! You are all sweeties! Veteran 216 | Subject: RE: mosc11's Group - FULL what do you think about inviting someone new in? KLynne, the newest member to Mary's group has a friend that also lost her mentor. KLynne and her have been challenging each other all month so she will have a lot of minutes to contribute as well as add a new dynamic to our group. i gave the initial nod but just wanted to run it by all of you. |
