Subject: RE: Firstnet911's Group- Closed with a great grouplrunfit - 2008-01-11 4:26 AM Question for you guys - I have been having arch pain for almost a year now. Doesn't feel like plantar fasciatis (sp?). Running isn't so bad once I get going. First thought of course would be that it is my shoes but I have had them professionally fit and usually get new ones after 300-400 miles. Any ideas? Too many variables here, but I would consider the shoe theory. Are the shoes the same make/model that you had before the problem flared up? I had problems with a particular brand of shoe and don't ever purchase them again because of the way they wore/felt. Once I changed shoes, I had no issues. There's a little guy on my son's 5th grade b-ball team and he has a medical condition that he may not outgrow out of and it is something to do with his arches being tight. He needs to stretch constantly, and once he gets going, he's fine. This is just an example of something to mention out there. I would get it checked out, and try a different shoe on the next round. Have you checked into orthotics? |
