1600 yards in the pool.  Going to be hitting up an "active strecth" class today which I haev never done before but I really need to start stretching more.

Broke 300 minutes of training for the week which is a record for me going back a little ways.

I'm here - only elliptical today - no chance to run.  Well there was the chance I just didn't take it.  Really tired already of the treadmill and I have more months ahead on that stupid thing.

1800 yards swimming today over a longer lunch since I wouldn't be able to workout tonight.  Getting tired, but feeling great!

68 minute run with wu and cd today for 7 miles.  Looking at 30 min swim tomorrow and 45 minute trainer ride.

I was wondering where the other Mentees went.  Time to inspire.

Question for you guys - I have been having arch pain for almost a year now.  Doesn't feel like plantar fasciatis (sp?).  Running isn't so  bad once I get going. First thought of course would be that it is my shoes but I have had them professionally fit and usually get new ones after 300-400 miles.  Any ideas?

Dave- you can stop by any time.

Lisa- the foot pain could be from multiple sources. Since this has been going on for a while, I'd consider seeing your doc if it continues.

Do the pain get worse or better the day after?

Too many variables here, but I would consider the shoe theory.  Are the shoes the same make/model that you had before the problem flared up?  I had problems with a particular brand of shoe and don't ever purchase them again because of the way they wore/felt.  Once I changed shoes, I had no issues.

There's a little guy on my son's 5th grade b-ball team and he has a medical condition that he may not outgrow out of and it is something to do with his arches being tight.  He needs to stretch constantly, and once he gets going, he's fine.  This is just an example of something to mention out there.

I would get it checked out, and try a different shoe on the next round.  Have you checked into orthotics?

Got in a 1300 yard swim at lunch.  Feeling really good, and more "at ease" in the water with today's swim then yesterday's.

Have a great weekend, all!

It actually stays the same most of the day. I do notice that some shoes make it feel better than others - obviously ones with better arch support .  I have a very skinny foot and wore new balance for years since they come in narrows.  Switched over to asics mainly because I went to performance running which doesn't carry new balance.  They are great there - did an analysis and everything.  Liked the asics but - I put a hole in the toe after about 2 months. Now have Nike triax with an insert in.  Not as good as the asics.

I try to stretch it a lot - maybe ice? Or one of those rolly things.

We actually have my husbands holiday party tonight at the zoo. They are going to bring in a big screen since the party starts at 5 and the game will still be going.

Go Pack.

So what does everyone have on tap this week any goals?

Me - I plan to run as many days as I can. I am also subbing for someone this week so I have a heinous week at the gym.  Spin tonight - spin and power yoga tomorrow - 2 spin classes in a row on Wednesday plus total tone that night - Aqua aerobics on Thursday. Friday - collapse.

Hey all, not sure what is on the plan for today.  As my blog mentions, I had a relatively severe allergic reaction to something last night (have no idea what it was), and I am still not feeing all that great.
