what with me being land-locked and all.

hills/cayons would be my 2nd choice.

suburbia i do everyday.  i'll leave that for when....or should i say IF i come back.

Hey Amy - glad you had a nice trip! And no, I wasn't going to bed. Just my commute home. I'm back now though.

I was just at the grocery store and since noone at home bothered to answer the phone to let me know if there's anything they wanted for dinner, I decided to do pasta with chicken and some asparagus. If only they'd told me that we'd be one short for dinner I may not have bought enough to feed 4. Grr...

Glad to be a guide anytime. And if it's ocean views you want, it's ocean views that you'll get. There's actually good terrain variety along the coast here as well, with anything from pretty flat to "holy crap that hurts."

I haven't eaten yet.  If you could leave the chicken off one of the plates, I'd be most happy to join you.  I was just looking at what salad *stuff* I have in the fridge.  I could  bring enough for 4.

Amy, welcome back!!  Your son sounds very smart to me.  Every time I go to SoCal I want to cry when I get on the plane to come home.  I want to live there when I grow up too.

Yeah!  Party at Tom's.  Pasta, wine and dancing.  Not much better than that. 

Sweet! I can't remember the last time I had a party at my place. The last time was probably the night I graduated college. Huge party too. 6 whole people!

Hey Kim - I just checked your snow album (great pics). Those are some sweet snow shoes! When I went snow shoeing back in the day we had the old school wicker-type ones. Yours look much better.

It's a deal! I'll make sure to bone up on my veggie-dish repertoire for Kim and my Paleo menu for you as well. Any thoughts on what music we should have playing? I was thinking maybe some Chris Isaac/Jack Johnson type stuff. Very beachy

We're living inverse lives.  I grew up in the south and knew nothing about snow.  I've been in NJ for about 10 years now and have learned to *love* the upsides of winter.  I got the snow shoes from my sister who now lives in VT (serious snow country).  Cross-country ski's are next.

(until I retire in SoCal.....soon I hope)
