Christmas was huge, there were several, big extended fambly and such. Then my niece got married so big bunch of wedding events. Thank God for a quiet NYE at home, TANning and packing to go home to Bali!

Pretty much ... actually most of the 20somethings (including the current wonderfully sweet lovely toy) are gathered at my brother's house, finishing off the wedding booze. Unfortunately, I don't drink, I don't want to be on the roads tonight (especially in a country that's traffic-lawless on a regular day!) and I could hang out at my bro's all night with the superfun somethings BUT I cannot deal with all the smoke. They all smoke (something cough cough if not cigarettes), to the last one, and lots of it, indoors.

I think I will make some beef udon noddle soup and read a book? 

There is a Hooka lounge at the end of my street, I have no idea what that means, and sure it not what you were referring to BUt i see a lot of older couple and younger kids entering the lounge.

Maybe I should walk down tonight and check it out?

We had the last big "event" last night.  Big family dinner at my house.

Everyone said the food was great (but what do those cretins know!).  But I ruined the whole dinner.  Ham was overdone and dry-ish.

All my sides were overdone, the rolls over browned...  Nothing was BURNT, but I knew it wasn't perfect.  And every ounce of it got ate...  So I guess I'm my worst critic.

OH!  BTW, I tried a champagne punch recipe that was so delicious, I was on my way drunk and disorderly before we even got the food out of the oven...  Hmmm  related somehow?  I DID follow the timer.  Maybe the oven was running hot?

Hooka is fun-ish.

It's basically a giant water bong, but you don't put the "fun" stuff in.  Just flavored tobacco or herbs or something.  You smoke it and get some flavors.  I guess you can inhale, but it doesn't give you the nicotine buzz, so I don't see the point.

Rats. I went hunting to capture some food and all I could find was a plain boiled potato.

However, the potatoes here ARE delicious; they have a real flavor, nothing added. I felt like a lot of the taters in the States were just big mealy nontasting things that you had to add a ton of stuff to to make it taste like anything.

Double however, I actually want some FOOD.

Maybe a hooka buzz for me?

All this food talk it's a good thing I just finished lunch.  Ok it was hospital cafeteria food but it wasn't half bad.

I'd even take hospital caf food right now! I'm weally hungwy. We have a lot of bread but nothing to put on it.

Kinda sick of sweets, except Pop Tarts of course, but haven't any of those around.
