Good update!! My cardiologist's nurse called today. My scans turned out looking great!! No blockages or calcifications! They have no idea why the stress test showed a problem. I'm going to meet with the doc on Wednesday for a follow up and to discuss in more detail, but was thrilled to hear the news today.

Also, I'm flying to Philly in 2 weeks (15th and 16th) for my interview with the rest of the management team of this company I've been talking too. I can't start work until July 21 because of their schedules, but things are looking pretty good right now. The commute is long (48 miles one way) but they provide me with a car allowance and pay for my gas. The good thing is it puts me closer to a lot of my Houston Racing friends.

Finally, some positive things for the Johnson's. I could get used to this!! ;-)

Yay! That's great news!

In the middle of a storm -- quite literally as the sirens are going off around here at the moment -- we got some wonderful news. If everyone stays healthy, a little GIRL will be born in November... That thought of my little girl having a little girl brings tears to my eyes... what a great day! Emerson

PS: You may read the news about the storms here in the morning paper or on the news. They are just north of here, I am pretty sure it will not effect us. That is lucky, the images on the local news are pretty intense... EK

congratulations g-pa!! We're praying for a continued healthy pregnancy and a wonderful birth. And sunglasses for everyone who has to see your ear to ear smile!! ;-) You deserve it! Keep smiling.

x2 on the congrats Emerson - a new granddaughter....how precious! Sure you will spoil her rotten!!!! and  congrats to you too, Greg! congrats on the test results and your second interview! LOTS OF LUCK HEADING BOTH YOUR WAYS!!!!!!! Sure you will shine in the second interview! Just be yourself...they can not help but love you!!!! and want to hire you!!! just have them call me if they have any second doubts!!!!

Hm. I am thinking about putting that in my signature lines. Why? Just because I think it's really funny. LOL

Fortunately for Emerson, I'll just leave that quote here in our forum, and not advertise it on over 9000 posts in BT-land. LOL

OK, so if I don't know what you deleted, I guess I'll just have to use my IMAGINATION! Hahahaha. (This will probably be wayyyy worse - or maybe funnier - than what you originally wrote.)

I think we should all go visit Eric at the beach.

As for the pics, nope - no special membership stuff needed. BUT if you add the file as an attachment to a post, you're limited in size. (I can't remember what the cutoff is, but it's either 50k or 100k. So larger photos won't upload.)

You may want to try uploading the pics into your BT album, and then linking them here. I think that may take care of the size limitation.

Hey guys...I'm still alive. One last day at the beach before we head home.  It's been great to get away but the real world is calling me back.  I haven't written my race report from last weekend...but I'll give you the highlights.  Hit by a car and still beat last year's time by more than 12 mins.  I was cruising along about mile 11 out of 28, climbing a hill at about 17-18 when a pickup passed me on the left.  He suddenly slammed on the brakes and made a right turn across my lane onto a side street.  I locked up the brakes and slid about 15-20 feet.  The rear of the bike rotated left so I was at about a 30 degree angle to the truck when I finally hit the rear quarter panel. It spun me around and I somehow got my left foot out.  I apparently dragged it thru the whole 360 which burned off a lot of my momentum. I ended up laying flat on my back. Picked myself up...shook everything to make sure it worked, looked over the bike right quick, yelled at the drive who had stopped and run over to me by then, and then took off racing again.  Rode like an absolute maniac for the next 18 miles, people must have thought I was nuts.   I think I cussed for 18 miles straight and every time I would slow down, I'd just think about getting hit by that truck again.   I was trying to rip people's legs off on the climbs.  Check out the profile on my log for last Saturday.  Even with the 2-3 mins I lost, I was still 5 mins or so faster than last year's bike and 12+ mins overall faster.  I had hoped to finish about 8th Clyde, ended up 4th and might have even had 3rd without my close encounter with the Chevy product.  Bike and I both appear fine although my left knee has been kind of tender this week, must have been from dragging that foot. My tri shoes are trashed.  I wore two holes in the inside of the left foot from the pavement. The crazy thing is that I don't have a mark on me.  I even wore a hole in my sock but nothing on my foot.

I hope everyone is having a great week. I'll be back on Saturday, but probably around more on Sunday.

Haha... I'm back... I'm alive... barely.  It has been quite a week.  My allergies, job, lack of a life, desire to sleep, weekend triathlon, and just about everything else has been keeping me off the computer.  I have a "mini-oly" race this weekend though as far as I am concerned the bike and run are oly distance so who cares if the swim is short.  I am excited and nervous.  The race director just through a loop into my nutrition plan by adding a bottle exchange at the halfway point of the bike which I was planning on not having, but now I do.  The weather looks iffy.  We might have thunderstorms and rain, but I am hoping it holds off till after the race.  Anyone else racing this weekend?
