mjh1975 - 2012-12-31 11:40 AM Hey, did we do the "What's your New Year resolution" thing yet?

Mine 2013 motto is going to be KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid), and not be hurt

And of course less serious about my career and new business idea and more time in TAN!

I sort of already started on a couple changes on my outlook and how I choose to react to people (mostly online).  You know, get used to it before the actual new year?

BUT, I am treating this week as my "start" to getting back in shape, losing that holiday 15 lbs, and have fun training again.  IM training sucks balls.  So I don't plan to do that again.  Short and simple.

Oh and crossfit for tri training (I had to get that in there!)

Honestly, only my under 25 pals seem to be doing the going out on the town NYE thing. The rest are doing exactly wat we all are doing. I'd much rather be home hanging with a special someone (or alone) and relaxing in the warm and fluffy PJs.

Pretty much ... actually most of the 20somethings (including the current wonderfully sweet lovely toy) are gathered at my brother's house, finishing off the wedding booze. Unfortunately, I don't drink, I don't want to be on the roads tonight (especially in a country that's traffic-lawless on a regular day!) and I could hang out at my bro's all night with the superfun somethings BUT I cannot deal with all the smoke. They all smoke (something cough cough if not cigarettes), to the last one, and lots of it, indoors.

There is a Hooka lounge at the end of my street, I have no idea what that means, and sure it not what you were referring to BUt i see a lot of older couple and younger kids entering the lounge.

Maybe I should walk down tonight and check it out?

Anyone???

Hooka is fun-ish.

It's basically a giant water bong, but you don't put the "fun" stuff in.  Just flavored tobacco or herbs or something.  You smoke it and get some flavors.  I guess you can inhale, but it doesn't give you the nicotine buzz, so I don't see the point.

Maybe a hooka buzz for me?

If found that if you're not a regular tobacco user, you get quite a buzz

I saw Les Mis over the week.  It sort of drug on at times, but it was really pretty good.  Lots of dying though and the whole theater was sobbing at the end...  Not ME of course!

We had the one over bearing party guest last week.

This time, it was a 20 yr old girl who was from Alabama.  So basically a uber christian, who wanted a 6'4" cowboy to give her two football playing babies and knew more about football than eveyone.  AND told everyone this repeatedly as she took over every conversation by yelling over everyone in her southern drawl....

And broke out an interesting version of "drop kick my Jesus, through the goal post of life"...

Do you mean like "pew, pew, pew" punch or "Roadhouse" punch?

No one punched, but the day after?  I wasn't going to say anything, and neither was the wife.  But when the bio dad's wife started, and then he chipped in, then it was on!  We all were bashing her and had the exact same thoughts.

It was her (bio-dad's wife) niece's friend that no one knew was coming to their party.  It was basically a chance for his family (well, me and the wife now that we are "sort of" getting to know each other after 40 years) to meet her family and we had a tagalong that basically kept us from talking how she dominated all dinner conversation.

Did you vacuum? I feel a room isn't clean until its hoovered.

Did a solid cleaning on my house yesterday... no vacuum though - no carpet!

Nice to have hardwood floors and tiles, especially with a dog.

I live in a place with all hardwood, seem to be a lot of stuff ALWAYS on the floor, with carpet you dont feel it as much.  Kind of gross, and I am very neat person, but crumbs happen!

We got people for that...

Just a lot of paperwork

HOWEVER, getting ready for the dinner party, I must have cleaned off and on for about 36 hours.  I had to sweep 3-4 times and still didn't git up all the dust and pine needles (from the garland) and dust bunnies.

Why does the desert have to be so freaking dusty?
