I will wait to hear from my coach. I have several factors at play here. If I do the "gradeless" ride, it will be at a slower pace, as the other two riders are slower on the flats than my buddy and I. My riding partner is a fast climber. I planned on using him like a carrot for the intervals I have to do on the watershed. Big fear is that I'm gonna totally trash myself on the intervals and not have enough left to make it up the grade. It will be a sufferfest. I know I need to improve my climbing for CDA. I hate decisions. I guess I'm hoping my coach is going to say it's ok to ride the slower pace and that way I won't feel guilty for choosing an "easier" ride.

kns57 - 2008-08-07 3:35 PM Jen, way to go on the lunch time runs. Wow!

The exciting part is that I don't have a workout hanging over my head to do tonight.  I'm not great at the morning ones, but the lunch ones really aren't so bad.

Hopefully not - does not sound tough enough for a steel chewing, nail spitting, cubicle sitting guy like me

kns57 - 2008-08-07 3:37 PM Bill, isn't it great when you can do a hill and not think about what gear you are in? Way to go dude!

I just love climbing on the Cannondale compared to the commuter all the way around.  The commuter is a tank and it is h*ll on me getting up the big hills heading home.  She moves great on the flats, but doesn't any bike?

The fastest cyclists are the ones who are used to riding heavy bikes! Off to the chiro now. TTYL.

See ya Pam!!!!

BTW, all the pool talk got me thinkin' are you going back to work soon???  The kids should be back in school soon, shouldn't they?

I know I will be starting back the week school starts. Told my boss I am flexible as long as he schedules me in the morning for 2-3 days a week. So not sure what days yet. He'll tell me soon enough I guess.

Hope he at least gives you 24 hour notice

Hi Gang!!!

Just got into the office.... late day today (gotta go work our booth at the Co Fair until 11pm )
Went to a meeting where I learned some not so happy things
Was tracked down by our head custodian to complain about one of my employees kids
Got e-mail from co-worker that they approved the artwork that I HATED for the Triathlon T-shirt
Oh, and then she wants me to get her ALL of the sponsors logo's by Monday... WTF... we won't even have shirt sizes ESTIMATED until the end of NEXT week...

I want this day to END NOW!!!!!

OH, funny story about Amy and I's workout this morning...

we decided to run in her neighborhood to get some hillage in...  Amy typically runs on the side of the road with no overgrown shrubs from yards, no dogs in yards, and NO SHADE!!!  Today I convince her to cross the street...

So up the hill we run.... and I stop... and she runs... and I run... and she stops... finally we're both "running" with Amy by the fence line... all of a sudden I think Amy woke-up a dog and boy was he mad... out of nowhere he appeared with a loud gowl and bark...Amy left claw marks on my arm as she leaped over and behind me all in one movement...  It was GREAT!!!!

We both got a GREAT LAUGH out of it....

okay, I'll admit, I flinched a little too, but at least I held my running line and pace
