It is snowing here today, which is better than the ice they were calling for. I drove our 4-wheel drive truck today instead of my 5 pound car. I'm only working until 11 so hopefully I don't have any problems driving home.

Happy last day of 2009, and here's to a FABULOUS 2010 for ALL!!!!!


Probably a trainer ride after work since my pool is closing early today.  I'm not sure what I'm up to tonight.  No big party to go to so I will probably end up hanging out with my brother.

One of my good friends with whom I have celebrated countless New Years Eves together since we were like 7 years old is being lame and staying home with his girlfriend.  I'm not going to let him forget this for awhile.


as well you should, NEAL.  as well you should. 

no big parties for me.  sigh.

hoping maybe i can ride my brothers 'coat tails' (party animal that he is) at least part of the eve

but havent heard back from him.

so.   i guess its me.  a big bottle of Sutter Home.  and my gorgeous wine glass, a gift to myself.

NEXT YEAR i INTEND for my NEW YEARS CELEBRATION to be VERY DIFFERENT.

the two mile swim.

is FRIGGIN IN THE BOOKS.

manohman was it EPIC.

i swear i felt every emotion possible throughout the course of it.  i seriously felt that it was a spiritual journey.  makes sense considering my life situation.

that said.  i made good time (though that wasnt the goal) and w the exception of stopping briefly to adjust my cap (seems like it always goes all whack the first few 100s...then its good to go...wtflip with that??) i swam CONTINUOUSLY FOR TWO WHOLE MILES.

WOOO HOOO FOR ME!

thanks for the gentle nudges this morning.  i'm sure i wouldve eventually made it there.


i DID have a food reward afterwards, though it wasnt my intention (ah that word again...)

i treated myself to a Big Mac (though i took out one of the patties and the middle bun) and french fries.  and drum roll please.....a CHOCOLATE MILKSHAKE.

though i only at about 10 fries and drank less than half of the kids sized milkshake.

i was seriously FULL even after that much food.


then i went to Pier One and got some uber zen swag for my space...im super silly excited.

i only bought what 'called' to me...what was interesting, i started picking individual pieces and bringing them to the counter, and then once i finished i realized WOW they all go together.  LOOK AT THAT!

i love when we let our hearts be our guide.

not sure ALL that 2010 holds for me, and theres one major transition to get through, but....

im thinking its gonna be a good year for me.

one thing i know for sure.

im gonna be better than fine.

between the chlorine (does it take anyone elses like 24 hours after a long swim, before their head is completely drained of chlorine???  or is it just my head...)

and the two glasses of wine i had last night.  yes.  count em.  two.  (i was on my way to a third but wiser inner voices prevailed, i get pretty buzzed on just one.  light weight that i am) 

and the lack of sleep

my head hurts.
