GOODMORNING hotties. Good things lining up, I can feel it!

My manager is really bending over backwards to help me possibly get this job in Chicago... and by a strange twist in the universe a 2nd job was posted over the weekend (still in Chicago, same company, same hiring manager that my boss knows) that is a more perfect fit for me - employee wellness communications. Deep breath!

Good luck.  That would be a lot of TAN in Chicago!

Awesome!!  Fingers crossed for ya

@Elaine - no point in checking for take-off parts, it's a cheap $5 part with rubber o-rings and those o-rings get ruined when you remove it, so it's just plug-n-pray with the aftermarket ones (so far).   I plan to just nurse this thing along for a few months, then get a new vehicle perhaps this summer.  Just enjoying life with no car payment for a few months longer

Ahhh. Ok. Hope it lasts a long time!

I'm close to 95,000 miles on my car. It's getting new shocks and tires after my Army training is over. Haven't needed much else, and I will drive this thing into the ground. Not having car payments is fantastic.

Amen, I love no payments.  I'm at 120k miles and the thing runs great, minus this one hiccup every few months, so I'm fine with nursing it along.  Unfortunately, it is also at the age where things start to wear out one by one, but so far those things have been easy fixes.  I need to replace all of the suspension bushings (shocks themselves are still good), but other than that the vehicle is solid.  Wouldn't bat an eye at driving it cross-country.

Good luck with the fixes!  I'm in the same boat, 150K on my truck now.  I have been replacing a few $50 parts from time to time but noting major yet <furiously knocking on my desk> .  I hope to drive it until the wheels fall off, literally!

I haz no Nutella in the house. I haz no Vegemite in the house. I have not one unhealthy thing to eat. WAH!

On a positive note, things are looking up for Wienerlisa, and the rat-traps in my ceiling do seem to be going off, one by one. Hopefully, with rats IN them.

Thanks everyone! But I don't think anything is a slam dunk, I know better than that
And technically it's a different company - my boss just used to work for them so he knows the folks at the corporate office.

I hear you. I mean, I'm a garbage can and I'll eat anything, but European Nutella is of a much better flavor and consistency (it's firmer, not so oily-goopy).
