Nice to have hardwood floors and tiles, especially with a dog. I live in a place with all hardwood, seem to be a lot of stuff ALWAYS on the floor, with carpet you dont feel it as much. Kind of gross, and I am very neat person, but crumbs happen! Not a fan of crumbs on the hardwood. |

We used to host yoga weekly at our house - a friend was getting started as a teacher and wanted more practice. Spotless floors were somehow dirty again between the 30 minutes before people showed up and when yoga actually started. Frustrating, but I'll take it over getting dog hair and dirt that he tracks in out of the carpet anyday! |

One commented that she wanted to attend my alma mater, but had decided that it was severely overpriced. She ranted for a bit that there is no way it's worth the extra money. She went somewhere else, ended up with a bachelors degree in math, and went on for a engineering-related masters. I got my bachelors in engineering 5.5 years ago. She got her masters over 15 years ago. We are now working the exact same job for roughly the same pay. I'd say I got a pretty good return on investment, no? |
