The podiatrist can't see you until the 26th and your race is the 31st?   Hope you can sort the foot out before then!

As Kim said, healing vibes on the way to you!

For many men and women, their sexual history is pure fantasy.  Either adding to, or deleting from. Just saying.

Haha. He was making up a story about ED due to "performance anxiety" because his gf wanted a 3-some but he didn't...

Now its one of the girls.

I am trying to figure out how to blend training for a 1/2 marathon in with tri training.  The run mileage will have to be quite a bit more than the tri plan calls for.  hmmmm.  Usually my long run right now is about 7-8 miles (though a few months ago I went 9 miles all jogging with about 7 more miles walking).  Do you think I can ramp up for a 1/2 marathon in February and a sprint tri in April?  Or should I do the tri in April and a 1/2 marathon in June?  Also considering holidays and winter weather.  I am so confused.....

You can totally do the HM in February and a tri in April. Considering the cross training you will do, ie. tri training, if you can get a long run of 10 in you should be fine. Being able to run 12 would be better, but you will be in shape, and you will be able to do the distance.

Dee, it is very doable. I've done it for the last two years. Interested in what others have to say, but I started with the half mary run plan as the foundation for the overall training plan. Pick one. I've used Hal Higdon's novice plan which allows for plenty of cross training, but there are many others out there. Since your half is in February, you can back off the running mileage post race and ramp up your swimming and biking in March. The biggest challenge with early season halfs is the winter running. Try to not spend all your miles on the treadmill. Last year, I only ran on the tready if there was too much ice on the roads to safely run outside. With the right gear, no reason to run inside where you live.

ironannekidd - 2010-10-12 4:19 PM I tried to run this evening. It didn't go well. Between the foot and the banged up knee from the weekend I made it down to the stop sign at the end of the road and turned around.

I do have an appointment with the podiatrist, but they couldn't get me in until the 26th. I'm going to rest and ice my leg tonight in hopes of getting my 8 mile run in tomorrow night to the soccer fields.

Definitely rest up right now.  At this point getting yourself healed up and well trumps forcing in more mileage.  If anything, you can just consider this an elongated taper

Ann, WTF??? What IronNeal said. And, he does have some very real experience in this. Just saying.

Healing Ju Ju on it's way!!

It's nothing hurt on the inside, it's bruises and a scraped up knee sidelining me tonight. Bending is painful because I have it all scraped up and keep braking open the scabs when I run.

Remember the multiple of 3

With a guy you divide by 3, with a girl you multiply by 3.

If he says he slept with 12 women... 12/3=4

If a girl says she slept with 2 guys... 2*3=6

See?
