tlnewman30 - 2008-10-26 3:30 PM 5K went good today.  Laura and I both PRed.  I wonder what I could have done if my legs and body where fresh?  Oh well, a PR is a PR no matter how you slice it.

that's right!

I think it's amazing that you went out and did a 5k so soon after your Mary

I hope I am wrong, but I think it will be a lose today and a win tomorrow.

If they pull it off today, they should beable to finish it with Cole Hamels pitching tomorrow.  I guess we will see though.

They were luck to win game three.  They started great, but didn't stay strong.  The final point was extreme luck to have gotten in the position they did.  Bases Loaded, no outs, bottom of the ninth, tied 4 to 4.

How about those Lions beating Ohio St in Ohio.  Now that was one heck of a College Football game.  They are in good position to go undefeated this year.

Hi Dark Arts

I wralked!!  I feel better!!!

I'm at 85% of my goal now

YAY!!! Glad you got something in today!

me too

I was tired of feeling like a slug!

I'm so glad you're feeling better! It gives me hope! I am thankful to have felt well enough to race, but it really took it out of me. I guess that's to be expected.

I think we're all right at or near 85%+ now and I did a quick look at the sheets, seems we're in first for the week!

I posted a couple race pics in my album . My bro-in-law is a professional photog and has an injury so he's been at the last two races to take pictures. Unfortunately we kind of missed each other this time so he only got shots of me sucking down a powerade and the one moment after I tossed the cup!

The race was really great. I wasn't feeling tip top but actually ran my best in a non-tri 10k so no complaints. And if I may say, the Marines working the race were just awesome all the way from check-in to finish. They were incredibly polite, efficient and about 85% were hot so it definitely brightened up the course! After doing the Army 10 and this race we were noting how much more smoothly these run since they are staffed by the military rather than volunteers.Another great race experience. I'm thinking of doing another Marine Corps race in June, the Run Amuck. It's an obstacle 5K and a towel and change of clothes is recommended. Fun

Yeah, the whole MCM series are well operated.  I think there are 5 or 6 total races in their series.  The Marine Corps Historic Half Marathon is another really good race in VA.

As far as the good looking Marine on the course, you only ran an out and back 10k, imagine what the other 20+ miles of the Marathon could be holding.  Just a thought anyways.

That 5K sounds like a heap of fun... and if the scenery is good... well there is that extra little incentive

You walked...probably a lot of start and stop so the distance would be the factor to figure out.  I wouldn't base the log on time but you did walk a lot....count it.

Yeah nad up and down hill the entire time too... I logged the time in my training log minus time stops for things like the seal show and its still several hours walking... if I cant it Im DONE for the challenge

And i did sign up to walk not run. plus counted it as my workout for the weekend...

Phills vs. Rays Game Four is now under way.  Phills got their 1st point on a bases loaded walk.  If they win by one point I think that pitcher will get fired.

I think next year I will get Laura a Tri back for X-mas.  Tri to get a good deal after the season is done.

I will get a new bik for me the following year.  The mention of the bike at the doctors made me think of this.
