kns57 - 2009-01-12 1:31 PM Cat, how many girls from your office are doing this?

Last count I think it was 15...we had a couple pull out I think...we had 21 interested in the beginning but 2 of those I knew werent going to race... one got injured so she is out unfortunatley...

Then one is on holiday so we are trying desperately to get hold of her so she doesnt miss out...and there was one other who was still undecided.... so that would be 17 with those two.

That is really cool. The two races that I have signed up for this year (so far) I'm doing with another girl from work. But, we work at two different branchs, and live 40 miles apart, so we don't get to train together. But we are now accountable to each other to train since we have signed up for the races.

Thats fantastic Kendra!! Especially that it keeps you motivated

Im kind of hoping a few will catch the *bug* whether it be for tri or a single sport and i will have some more people to train/race with...we will see!

Yeah, even if just one gets the bug that would be awesome for you to have a racing partner.

A group would be even better...when this race finishes Im going to send an email around with some future options...

There is an enticer race a month later down south and a 15/55k All womens bike ride option too...

Plus a full sprint distance early march too... im pretty sure at least two of these things are on the same weekend...

After that Im not sure between March and October....as apart from IMOZ there isnt much local tri racing so it would then need to be probably running events which we know im not big on!

I'm offically lost and have no idea what is going on in Nibbs

I'm clueless myself, except that Cat is racing on Feb 1 and her company is paying the entry fee and buying T-shirts for the team.

And Yanti is eating healthy today, and Mel went for a nap...she needs LOTS and LOTS of sleep so whenever we see her we need to send her to bed...Judi is getting her bike fit tomorrow (I think) and umm Dee is doing her best to post pad when she turns up...

And Yanti has gone out for a while with a friend.

I'm guessing that in OZ land you are about midseason for Tri's.

Pretty much...if you want to travel races continue into April but not in Sydney...so yeah there arent a huge a lot of options...

The enticer weekend in March also has an Olympic race with it... but thats a pretty big jump to make in a month!

HEad out there on Friday. Poor baby is back in the hospital with RSV. On Friday night/Saturday morning Tanya took him to the hospital because he had stopped breathing at home a couple of times for about 20 sec. While in the hospital, he completely stopped breathing and they had to revive him. Then she and Owen were airflighted to the Children's Hospital in Oakland. They say that he will be there for anywhere between 2-7 days depending upon how he does. Pretty scary.

I wish I was there to give our daughter help. Or at least a hug. I can barely wait until Friday, but I know it will be here before I know it.
