I just added another run so I look like I'm Miss Goody twoshoes. I actually underestimated how much running I'd do this month....ya think? I just got the figures from my plan but I run with a group twice a week with a trainer and I never know what she has planned for us until I turn up. So I had to have a stab at my times!

I am quite tired this week tho and I ditched my normal group training and went (after a heap of self talk and chastisement) for a small relaxed(ha!) run on my own this morning.

Hopefully my oomph finds me again next week.

Keep on running fellow Vamps.

Yay for all your running!!! Well done

ebshot - 2008-10-15 2:36 PM Gotta get some pumpkins for the kiddos too. Their school is doing a pumpkin carving night on Friday. I HATE gutting the pumpkins. I hope someone else is doing that. I like cutting them up but scooping all the guts grosses me out!!!!

I so agree!...I hate everything about the insides of the pumpkin....I hate the smell, feel and taste!.....I would much rather paint them! Unfortunately, my son has never liked that idea!

Aussies don't really do Halloween to a huge degree so I have never had to scoop out a pumpkin, but I imagine its REALLY hard. Its hard enough trying to skin a pumpkin to make soup!!!

Actually I've been meaning to make some pumpkin pie - I know in America its really popular. At our local supermarket they've started stocking canned pumpkin filling for a pie, and its sitting in my cupboard ready for me to use it. One of these days I'll make one

What exciting things do we have planned this weekend?

Let's see... I'll do a ton of training, including at least 6 hours in the saddle, am going to dinner and to see a very talented artist tomorrow night with a cool dude who peaks my interest a lil' bit, so that's fun. For the record, it's not easy peak my interest. Especially for like a buncha years months weeks days in a row.

That's as far as I've gotten.

Oooh sounds like fun! (the date that is, LOL, not the 6 hours in the saddle!). Fill us in on all the details!

Slugger - 2008-10-17 3:22 PM
mila - 2008-10-16 9:46 PM you know, like slugger's gonna be happy about that whole naughty janet thing and Blake might try to slow up on the running to get on the naughty janet list .

In fact, Slugger was so excited about the Naughty Janet that she is now up to 62%!!! And, thanks entirely to you guys, I crawled out of bed to run today. I ran naked - left the GPS at home - and ran as slowly as I wanted to. It was drizzling, my feet were soaked, and I liked it. I was happy I got out. As I said earlier, I know I can run if I can make it out the door, it's the even getting TO the door to get past it that is holding me up right now.

I think sometimes those runs without the time/distance restrictions are the BEST runs.

I might just go slow on purpose now to find out what delicious punishment Mila has in mind for me......

Plan is to run 5 at lunch today. That would take me to 20%.... I know. Still crap.

And what is Baseball? If it doesn't last 5 days and have lunch AND tea breaks I'm not interested. Howzat!

Does that mean you're into cricket? LOL

Offthegrid - 2008-10-19 3:27 AM 35:44 watch time!!! I was so happy. Not sure if it was just the crowds or what, but the hills didn't even feel that hard. Or maybe it was my prerace breakfast of canned light tuna in water and an orange. Ha ha ha!

Wow thats a really weird pre-race breakfast! But if it works for you, go right ahead!!! LOL

They actually use different pumpkins than the ones we eat for carving. You can sometimes buy the ones for carving at some supermarkets and they are not as hard as eating pumpkins.

My strange family is one of the rare Australian families that do stuff for Halloween. My hubby decorates the house and we all get dressed up. We get kids from all over being driven to our house so they do the trick or treat thing. Our house is quite famous arond our burb come the end of October.
