The bike itself doesn't matter, it's about the engine, but putting cages on your pedals would really help you get more power out of your pedal stroke.

Does anyone know if there are any alternative bike check in times preferably on Friday?  Unfortunately my Father in law passed away last night and the funeral is Saturday in PA; I can make the registration and mandatory athlete meeting I just cannot be back in Louisville until Saturday night.

Contacting the RD is your only hope.  All guidelines say No bike entry on race morning and they won't have security to watch your bike on Friday night.  Perhaps he will let someone else drop off your bike and gear on Saturday.  Best of luck and sorry for your loss.

I skipped the workout yesterday and opted for packing the gear. I am glad I did because it took me a WHILE to do it as I skimmed over three different excel checklists.... heading to work then heading out around Noon towards Louisville. We are stopping in Barboursville, WV and arriving Friday morning.

Good luck you everyone. Too bad the race isnt today. 83 with a nice cool breeze. This is one of the top 5 days of the year for outdoor endurance activity. Back to 92 for Sunday though.
