Master 2042 Albany, NY | Subject: RE: Ghoulies October: Team BT pdbman - 2010-10-11 12:17 PM Lots of distractions today. I'm thinking maybe I should have worked from home. We have a guy visiting from Arizona. He's a nice guy and all but he loves to talk. He's more of a distraction from work than BT is. I don't think I've had 10 minutes peace in the last 90 minutes. I have two of those kind of guys... unfortunately, they are here today and every day. And are right on the other side of my cube wall. Today I brought my iPod though! Between my ears not being 100% yet and the volume of my 80's hair band music I have blasting today... I almost forgot they were here! |

TOPPAGE!!! Toy toppage, no less. Well done. depends on the toys.....but as we already discussed that could be more appropriate in another forum !! Didn't know you could count that kind of a workout. That could make for an interesting challenge. Well, there really wasn't any restriction on what the non-SBR activity could be... was there? Edited for spelling that was worse than usual... Master 2042 Albany, NY | Subject: RE: Ghoulies October: Team BT pdbman - 2010-10-11 1:12 PM I don't know. First of all, I want to say that I don't want to offend anyone but I have to ask. Maybe its just me but I can't imagine any food being better than sex. And my wife is a WONDERFUL cook and I love food. I've had multiple cakes, desserts, etc called "Better than sex" but I just don't see it. I just can't imagine any cake or anything being better than sex. I've always thought "Well if this is better than sex, then you must not have a very good love life." Maybe its the partner. I don't know. Are people being serious when they say something is better than sex? Not even cheesecake? That is just pure heaven right there... |

I didn't mean to imply that food is better than all sex... just that it has happened where I would rather have had cheesecake than pizza. Fortunately for my weight and my marriage, I happen to like sharing a pizza with my husband that eating some turtle cheesecake. |

I guess I'm wondering if the people that are saying something is better are serious or if it just their way of saying something is really, really good. Or should I put a poll out there in CoJ to get peoples thoughts? |

Elite 2640 Ontario, Canada | Subject: RE: Ghoulies October: Team BT My initial goal for the month has fallen apart since planks started causing me difficulty. I've decided to revamp my goal so that I'm challenging myself and not restricted to any particular exercises. Instead of just core I am going to complete any strength exercises. Because of this I'm going to increase my time required as well. I would switch to sessions but since we're already 1/3 through the month I'll leave it be. If I do another challenge next month I will do run + strength sessions, bike or swim. |

Elite 3460 Slackerville, USA | Subject: RE: Ghoulies October: Team BT A little off subject story that I remembered when Rhoda brought up cheesecake. I'm a big cheesecake fan. I've alwyas liked it. My wife hasn't. When she was growing up, her mother used to make this stuff she called cheesecake that was basically philly cream cheese with flavor added. We would go to work parties and banquets where they would have cheesecake for dessert and she wouldn't even touch hers. Bonus for me, I could eat her cheesecake (no euphemism intended). This went on for probably ten years. So one time I ask here about her mother's cheesecake and she explains and I tell her that's not cheesecake. Finally one day she tries a bite and I haven't had two cheesecakes at one of these dinners since. |

I don't eat meat very often so my husband usually gets extra meat, but criticises (friendly) me about it. Lately I have been trying to increase my meat intake and he complains when I fork some of his portion... He can't make up his mind! The other day I told him that I might start integrating some high quality meat into our diet and he mentioned cost. Would you men (or steak loving women) complain that I wanted to make you only the best cut of steak? |

And a bad cut will actually turn me off from steak for a while. Which is bad because it goes so well with my favorite wines. |

Melon Presser 52116 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies October: Team BT Judi would probably remember my Cake Boy ... he made exquisite cakes that literally got people high. Often he'd bring two cakes to a function because (I saw this happen more than once) a woman would try a piece then go into a frenzy and just stick her fingers in the cake. But it was not as good as the sex, no. |

Would you men (or steak loving women) complain that I wanted to make you only the best cut of steak? We took steps to increase our meat intake last year. It hasn't hit out budget too hard either. The sister of one of our friends has a farm with pigs, cattle, etc. They call occasionally when the have an animal ready for slaughter. So far we picked up a pig and a cow. Its better and fresher than anything we've bought at a store or had at a restaurant and ended up costing us about $2 a pound. Now any time we want a roast or some steak or ham for dinner or some tasty bacon or sausage for breakfast, we just grab it out of the freezer. No complaints here. |
