I normally wouldn't be up for sharing you Neal...but it's'supposed to be -40ish with windchill tomorrow so you might not be enough to keep me warm! :p so ya...I'll make an exception...but only for those times it dips below say -35...haha

So went to swimming...one of the 15yr olds asked me if she told the doctor something like if she had had sex if the doctor would tell her mom. So I got to explain doctor-patient confidentiality and then substituted my promo sex ed talk in. Sorry girl's'mom, but it sounds like its too late and she might as well know and be safe.? Yaaaaa. I guess that's what I get for being the oldest...and a med student...in a group of high schoolers.

That's awesome that she trusted you enough to ask! And then to listen to your talk.  Could you tape record that and send it to me? We have had the talk, but I am thinking my 14 year old is not as innocent as she would have us believe. The ringtone on her phone today is "Smack That" by Akon. Nice. Supposedly she is going to change it. 

Haha. I don't know how educational a tape of me giving "the talk" would be. "Some stranger from Canada". The general gist I get from the 15/16 yr old girls I swim with is that they generally are still pretty innocent but are hitting the point now where boys are extremely interesting and they are questioning...I figure if they get info from me that its better than some friend who "knows everything" that they go to school with. Two of them have been scheming on how to get the one out of her Moms view to see this boy...where there is a will, there is a way.

Oh boy. I don't know if I can remember that far back! LOL. Seems like she's always been a teenager.

Books, barbies, she started dance class. I think that was the year she got a clock radio/CD player and some CD's. Which we promptly took and burned just the songs we thought she should have and gave her the copy (and stashed the originals). Um, some scrapbooking stuff and beaded jewelry making kits. 

So do you guys think it would matter if I got men's compression tights? I have seen a great deal on a pair of men's 2XU tights. I know the 2XU wetsuits have such a tiny little waist in them that they just about cut me in half. Thoughts?

I have a pair of men's tights. The legs are cut longer and I like that, they go all the way down to my ankles, on some of my women's tights they are a few inches above my ankles. Get what you want, no one will know or care.

It has always been easy to shop for my son, he has things he is in to. My daugther isn't like that. Yeah, she likes cheerleading, and doing cartwheels and handstands, and pretending to be a teacher, but that doesn't make shopping easy. My son would be in to tractors, or Thomas the Train, or Pokemon, or Lego's. There has never been anything definitive like that for her.

It has been 3 weeks since the marathon and I just can't get back on the wagon. I spend a lot of time thinking I want to work out, and what I'm going to do when I get home. I just can't make myself do it.

Catching up at work and trying not to have a big ole hole in my stomach about the potential for losing my job. It is not looking good with the "less government' folks in charge. The first to go is always environmental and social agencies and always the field people.

This is not the way I was hoping to start the week after vacation.

Oh ya, and Melindy. I can't cash your check because it is from out of the country. I have to fill out a "collection request and disclosure form". You know, because of you Canadian terrorists!!!

OH NO! I'm crossing things for you, Robin!

It is going to be a rocky next 6 months or so.....
