Wow! Great week!

I am just happy to keep my 50 miles a week going. I don't think I could find the time for that many miles.

HA!  Knowing you were just a week behind has pushed me to keep going more than once.  Gl;ad to see you are still at it.

nav - 100 miles per week?  That's just crazy talk.

Thanks all on the 100 mile week, it is my second ever 100 mile week. I am planning on peaking my mileage at about 140 per week when I am in the middle of training for the 100 miler and hope that 100 miles per week will be my easy week. I know it sounds crazy to me too.

Wow.  It's a good thing I already did my run today, as I spent a *lot* of time reading through this thread.  I'm on day 18 right now...almost embarrassed to post that based on the numbers some of you guys have put up so far!

I started in early April thinking I probably wouldn't make the 30 days due to being signed up for a Tough Mudder on April 27 (was planning on a day off right before, and probably after, the TM).  I've had to withdraw from the Tough Mudder for other reasons, so I plan on keeping the streak going to at least 30.  I've never been a very good runner, it's always been by far my weak spot in the triathlons, so this has given me some motivation to keep going, and I really hope it helps.  I've been mixing in some good long runs with some short easy ones, and also have thrown in a number of 1-2 hour bikes and 2K-3K swim days.

I am starting to regard the 2 mile minimum run as just part of my day now.  I have some tired legs on occasion but am locked in on at least finishing the challenge.

Congrats to everyone on their incredible streaks.  This is a great thread!

Day 19...did 4 miles of speed work...alternating .25 slow with .5 miles fast. It was a nice change up since I had been focusing more on distance to get ready for Tough Mudder but now I want to add speed for the summer Tri season! It was enough, though, to get me to skip my swim! It was 8PM and I just didn't feel like getting in the pool!

#185

3:30 on trainer, 5 x 30 min effort, 5 min recovery with 30 min warm up and cool down followed by 4 mile run.  I know I ran harder than I should have, got a 12 miler planned for early am, I just felt like I really wanted to go hard in training today.  HIM weekend after next, and I figure these were my last 2 tough workouts before a bit of a taper. Just hope I survive tomorrow.

Im right there with you and would go as far to say that I hated running. I am slowly improving and just knocked out a slow 4 mile run for my 72nd run. Not much but it was run straight through without a break - something that I was never able to do.

Keep at it

Day 519, 9 mile tempo run. I was surprised at how well I was able to maintain a sub 7:30 for the run after running 22 miles yesterday.

Day 20 in the books.  6 mile pyramid, .1 mph increments every .5 miles for the first 3 miles, and then back down the other way.  Added in a little very high speed burst right across the halfway mark.  Legs felt tired at the onset, but loosened up and I rolled through it pretty well.  Had already dropped 2K in the pool beforehand...

Day 36 will be my first benchmark 5K.  Looking forward to see how this streak has benefited me.  Completely planning on keeping the streak going through that at least.

How are you doing with the PF? I had new custom orthotics made for me in mid March, and it has helped somewhat. Longer runs still seem to beat me up a bit, and I walk real slow and gingerly the next mornings. Are you doing lots of stretching, rolling, icing, etc? Or have you mostly been okay without a lot of maintenance?
