No kidding.  I'm glad I planned ahead.  Anyone have any good recommendations for a good Christmas wine?  I'm leaning toward that really good cab I had the other night, Franciscan.  

Cat, have you worked out your menu for Christmas yet? I think we are having prime rib.  Not my first choice but Bryan does the cooking so it's up to him.  I won't complain one bit if he's cooking!

Even if I can swim again there is no way I can do the full amount I committed to. I'll see if there are sick adjustments so I don't drag the team down. Enjoying a serving of wine after a super long day.  I'm glad Christmas is almost here!  8 more days and life will return to normal!

It's been the worst for me!  One thing after another.  It just doesn't stop!  I hope next year will be a bit calmer!  It has to be, right???  

I'll take a vodka tonic!  I actually have some rum and pineapple juice waiting for me.  Yum!  Not tonight though, another day....

We're here for a few more Christmases.  Although, Bryan will be deployed next year.  That will make it different!  Every other year he's gone.  Gotta love it!

Next year SHOULD be the last year though.  The end is in sight.  It's not all bad.  Maybe we will go on vacation next year, somewhere warm!  Mexico?  Bahamas? Bermuda?  Could be good!

Wanna come?  Maybe a cruise.  Screw the tree and all that carp, let's head somewhere warm and have a drink with an umbrella in it!

Right now the menu looks like this:

Christmas Eve:

Turkey, Potato Salad, Cos Salad, Fresh Bread

Profiteroles, Choc dipped strawberries, afghans, choc chip, Lolly cake, custard, ice cream

Christmas Brunch:

Cereal, Fruit salad, yoghurt, ham and cheese croissants

Christmas dinner:

Cold meats, prawns, Roast Vegetables (potato, pumpkin, sweet potato, fresh vegetables, bread (maybe garlic bread)

Pavlova, Baleys Tiramisu

After that its left overs of which there will be many Im sure!

Come on down... there are lots of othe goodies Im making too like lollies and sweets and things and I always make enough to feed WAY more people than I have so  would LOVE some extra guests...

PLUS... there is a whole cocktail menu not yet prepared

I've always done a nice Christmas eve dinner, but have only been responsible for the 'relish tray' on Christmas day....................certain people never figured out I could cook - oh well......
