I bought my plane tickets to Wisconsin!  I head to Madison on September 4th and come back home on the 16th.   I am also signed up to volunteer for IM-MOO.  I haven't signed up for my race yet...but registration is available until the morning of the race.

Now I just need to find a place to stay...preferably one that is free.

Question...I always provided Dave with a place to stay whenever he needed housing in Seattle.  (I provided him with 4 days of room and board on two different occasions and  I hooked him up with more than 2 months of free lodging in a big old house in a fancy neighborhood only a few miles from where he worked).   Do you think that the same courtesy will be extended to me?

I guess that I will have to ask him at some point.  It is just that he isn't the type that addresses minor details such as lodging and transportation (unless it is a race). 

Just tell him you are coming tosee him and ask if you can say... I mean usually if you stay with him it goes both ways right? Assuming he has space!

I too would ask to make sure.  OR you can drop simple hints, like "When I stay with you in Sept we can do blah blah blah"

Hints don't always work. (Especially since she said he doesn't address details like that. In fact, he may not even think about it.) If he's the type who doesn't get "hints," I'd say to just ask him. Something like, "Hey Dave, I gave you a place to stay. So I can crash on your couch while I'm there?"

A member of the tri club did a table with the swim times and clculating the current from that race I did last month.  Somehow it works out to equate to the same pace I usually have in the pool.  That blows my mind!  He's going to email me the spreadsheet he did.

I think Phil's wife has probably learned to that hints aren't sufficient. That's why she just went ahead and got him drunk.

Seriously, I've been drunk *counting fingers* about 5 times in my life, 2 serious enough to be sick.  I don't care for the feeling.  Besides, I told myself that I would never be like my Dad, who drank quite a bit, but that's another story.

Oh, yeah.  Wifey doesn't get drunk either.  We know our limit.  I like that.

I bet I just took you all aback with that, didn't I?  I'm high on life!

Its Jim - old school BTer... been around for ever... there was a running COJ joke a few years ago around it... funny to see him finally having changed his user name!

Alot of those people arent still around as much...
