kcarroll - 2009-10-16 3:52 PM Plan calls for a 7 miler this weekend.  Going to be rainy and cold.  Will hope for a window of no rain, or will just have to htfu.  NO way I'm doing that on the dreadmill.

I'm planning on a 7 miler this weekend too. I'm going on Sunday. Luckily the forecast is as follows: "It's San Diego... I think it'll be fine." Hopefully you won't have to HTFU too much.

At least I'll be running with a 23 year old guy who just graduated from Officer Candidate School. I'm already planning on having to cash in a few HTFU points just keeping up with him.
I'll be thinking of you while I'm running my 5 miles by myself in the cold and rain. On second thought can I come follow behind the 23 year old?

You bet. If nothing else, you can pretty much guarantee that you won't get cold down here.

Ok GHOULIES it's time to go tuck the one kiddo who is still at home into bed then go get ready to crash myself. In the morning I'm heading to the Y to swim for awhile and lift. I haven't been in the pool since the end of July so this may be ugly.Good night everyoneSleep tightDon't let the bed bugs bite

Evenin' Ghoulies!

Had dinner out at the local pub.  Fried everything.  Then picked up some ice cream and ate it in front of the fire.  I'm now stuffed.

OK Ghoulies, dinner time! Since I got home from work and there was one less short person here than normal, my plan of pasta, tilapia, and carrots will have to wait until tomorrow. Now I just need to decide between fish tacos or Arby's roast beef. If only all dilemmas (sp?) were this enjoyable. Wish me luck!!!

serendipity - 2009-10-16 4:46 PM Just got firewood delivered.  Where is "loading a pickup truck full of wood into the woodshed" on the training log?  Smile

This is not something that should be done on NATIONAL GOOF OFF DAY. You will have to red-shirt your goof off day until a later date. You can still come play football in the mud with us though.

I agree, but I had to suspend NATIONAL GOOF OFF DAY for wood, because we were almost out and it's cold out there.

I think all our mud is frozen.

I decided to look behind door number 3 for dinner and went with a very yummy chicken burrito.

I also talked myself into doing an easy 3 miler tomorrow followed by my 7 mile run on Sunday. I need to get into the habit of running both days of the weekend. There's a nice little 3 mile loop around my neighborhood that has some long hills but they aren't too brutal. This will by far be the most miles I've logged in a weekend.

Woke up to no running water.  Because there's ice in the water pump.  Because it's 23 degrees in October.  Which is wrong even for the North Country.

Hope your day is starting better than mine!

Tried the run out and it failed miserably.  I walked a Y lap and then said I will run 1/2 lap and see how it feels - it loosened up a little so I walked the other 1/2 lap.  Then I tried again and I could feel the tightness/pain so I gave up and declared no running until Monday.

Bill sorry to hear your arse is still not better....must ice more!! Good news on the swim though!

serendipity - 2009-10-16 12:56 PM Went to the gym.  Did 3 miles on the treadmill and a strength workout.

Good job! Anything 3 miles or more on the dreadmill is torture for me. Staring at a wall for that long just isn't right. KIU!

I'm with you on this one! Unfortunately with the weather we are having something tells me I better get used to it!

We have the nicest view from the treadmills at my gym.  They face big windows which look out into the forest.  No road or anything in sight.  There are some bird feeders up too.  Simply fantastic!

Morning everyone!  It was cold.  It was wet.  It was slow.  It was ugly.  It was 7 miles.  It is done.  Guess I could have done that in about 7 posts but need to get going on today's errands.  All for now.
