I was going to either go for a quick spin on the trainer or go to a yoga class this morning, but I always forget how long it takes me to get ready to leave for a trip.  I double and triple checked that I have everything I could possibly need for my race on Saturday.  Then I got everything packed up and ready to go.  I'm taking the train out to my parents' house in the suburbs tonight, and we're heading down to Louisville with some of my friends from my running group tomorrow morning.  We should get there in time for packet pickup, checking out the expo, then going to dinner. 

I'll probably be around BT later today, but don't know if I'll have internet while I'm in Louisville.  So if I don't check in later today, have a good weekend everyone!

I wanted to let you know that I have requested to be dropped from the challenge. I am so friggen busy right now and while I am doing a pretty good job of (normally) getting at least my run in, it just isn't my top priority during this transition period. I am also having major shoulder issues again and had to go back to my ortho guy yesterday and beg for a cortisone to get me through the move. He was hesitant since it's been barely over a month since my last one but under the circumstances, he obliged (but with 1/2 the dose!)
Anyway, I will pop in now and then to play cheerleader but my computer time is just very limited right now!

billsorg - 2010-04-23 5:26 AM Good morning everyone!  Yesterday was bring your child to work day, so it was completely unproductive, but a lot of fun.  I'll have quite a bit of catching up to do.  We have a beautiful day on tap, so a lunchtime workout is in order.  I was actually hoping to get a swim in, but it's so nice, I may have to do a little outside run before hand.  Does anybody have any exciting plans for the weekend?  For us, it's softball practice tonight, softball game and soccer game tomorrow and I plan on finishing my square-foot gardens (has anyone else tried that?  This will be our first try).

I'll be quite busy also! We have a swim meet for 2 of my girls and it is my son's birthday tomorrow(that is if he survives that long) I also have my race on Sunday as do 2 of my girls(the same two as the swim meet) So yep....busy!!

We just got back from an assembly where they said goodbye to the old student body officers (my son is one) and announced the new ones. His music classes finish up next week with their final concerts. Then its the AP tests. Then they'll just play around for the final few weeks of school. He also has to pick a school this weekend and let them know his intentions and that he is accepting the scholarships. Big changes in his life and I think he's a little nervous. Big changes in our lives too. We're going to have an empty house in a couple of months. Its gonna be kind of strange.

wgraves7582 - 2010-04-23 6:32 PM Howdy A Team.  Took a relaxing day today.  Did some riding with my son at the campground and then had to come pick my father up.  Did some running around for him and I have just spent the last 1 hour or so tearing apart an old Huffy I found for $5.00.

I think I might paint it pink and ride it around town - I think that would be so cool but no one seems to agree with me!!!!  Should I feel insulted?????

Back to regular programming Monday.

BTW - camping was a blast!!!!

That does look like fun.  I'm planning on a marathon the weekend before but I think I'll add it to my calendar and see how things look when it gets closer.
