How are you doing with the PF? I had new custom orthotics made for me in mid March, and it has helped somewhat. Longer runs still seem to beat me up a bit, and I walk real slow and gingerly the next mornings. Are you doing lots of stretching, rolling, icing, etc? Or have you mostly been okay without a lot of maintenance?

I have been basically pain free the last 2 runs.  My mileage for this month will be about 25% less than last month, and I had to slow down a bit, and not run any hills, but I think I've gotten through it. I'll still be at about 140-150 miles for the month.  I stretched my calves about 6 times per day when it flared up....and got started on the stretching that often as soon as I felt the heel pain one morning.

This is the opposite foot that I had the really bad issues with last summer that caused me to have to take a few months off (just prior to this streak).

Day 522, 24.6 miles. 100.5 miles this week, first time ever with 100 miles two weeks in a row. Not next week though, I have a race Saturday so I need to taper a bit for it. It is four races in one day, a half marathon, then a 5 mile race, followed by a 5k and finishes with a 1.5 mile race for a total of 22.7 miles. You have to maintain a 10:20 pace to make the start for each race, should be fun. I'll have some time to rest between races, not sure how that will go but hopefully not bad.

10.2  miles.

47 mile week, not as much as some ; ), but good for me, especially including swim/bike volume.  7:32 min/mi pace, some wind, but it was cool and comfortable.   Taper for HIM this week, yay!

I do a relay every year with 7 others....you basically run 3-5 miles and then wait a few hours to go again. From my experience I recommend 1-3 beers during your breaks.....the amount just depends on how big of an experience you are looking for.

Days #22 and #23 in the books, with 2 miles and 3 miles respectively.  Legs were drained on Saturday.  Snuck in a relatively late (for me, at least) run this evening...went out a little too hard and had to cut way back at the 2 mile mark.  Lots of learning going on.

I will only have like 30-40 minutes between the half marathon and 5 miler and then probably 10-15 between that and the 5k and 5-10 before the 1.5 mile so not a lot of time for beer. I'll save that for after the race but thank for the tip. LOL

I started with a weak hope that I would make it to 30. In the beginning it was tough on some days but around day 20 it became a habit. There are still days when I wish I could just skip it, but I dont. Hang in there, I was always a poor runner and do feel that I am improving quite a bit.

Day 524, 6.1 easy mile. I managed 364.2 miles this month, not my highest monthly total ever but close.

Yes I have had the sickness for a while and it appears the is no cure for me.
