I have managed to more or less formulate my thoughts-I'll PM you.

Ok... Im just sitting here quietly stressing... I was kind of hoping if i had to ride with him (dont get me wrong i want to but its daunting) it would be on my home turf...not his!

that is understandable.  look at it this way...you might be so distracted that you would be at risk of getting lost.  You wouldn't want him to see you get lost on your own turf, would you?  Let him take the lead and you can be as distracted as you would like.

haha....thats one way of looking at it.... will see how it goes i guess... I hope I sleep well tonight otherwise the third early start in a row might not be a good way to start!

Not really.  I'm going to start over from the beginning tonight and see if that helps.  If not, I will talk to my adviser about it tomorrow and see what he says.

kaqphin - 2009-01-12 4:03 PM Yanti...how does one fake having a great body while wearing lycra? Something tells me you might have some tips...

1. Tight lycra on the bottom with high waist, fitting but looser bike jersey that won't ride up

2. Low socks (lengthens your legs)

3. Bike jersey with a high collar--slims the boobs and neckline and de-emphasizes chin

4. Dark colors slim everywhere; or, dark colors on the bottom (black with vertical lines or shaded/semi-light panels on the sides is good, visually lengthens); possibly with brighter colors on the top to draw attention to the face and upper body (you have beautiful shoulders)

That's for a cycling outfit. It's harder in a tri-suit, but a tri-suit with a higher neckline will help, as will a tri-suit in darker colors with the vertical lines or panel shading on the sides.

Thanks Yanti...I knew you would have some idea... I guess wearing a dark top just after sunrise might be frowned upon but I can do:

1. Black Lycra Knicks or even Tri Shorts with white strips down the legs (oops thats point 4)

2. I dont wear socks in my cycle shoes

3. I dont usually wear cycle jerseys... mroe $10 target singlets... I could see if my blue jersey still fits otherwise i guess i will just have to wear a singlet and hope for the best...

4. Aaw schucks on my shoulders....

THANK YOU!

Can I share some cycle guy related news???

We were chatting yesterday and he has said I should meet him for a ride Wednesday morning... will see if he follows that up today. While I like that idea...Im also terrified of having to turn up in lycra...

Especially infront of a guy I dont just work with (ok different department and we dont work together but same company) AND a guy I seem to still have a crush on...

yay...it will be awesome to go biking with him.  Try not to worry about the lycra thing...self-conscienceness blows out of proportion when it involves a crush.    He is interested in spending more time with you doing something you both enjoy.   It's cycle guy...what will he be wearing...biking apparell.  Just dress for the occasion.

I know-it is easier said than done.

I havent seen him out of work clothes so Im pretty sure Im about to have my silly crush get full blown... me and cyclist men on bikes.... Im terrible!

Oh there is NO WAY Im not going...none at all... but I am a bit nervous....my bike handling etc isnt what it should be yet so Im worried he thinks Im better than I am

I really want him to want me... lol...

I know what you mean...   I have been experiencing a funny feeling in my gut lately-and it isn't related to digestion in any way whatsoever.

Maybe you have been experiencing it too...

hehe will see... I do get a bit of a buzz from talking to him... although he has threatened to either ride faster or burst into song if i chat too much first thing in the morning

I would find it tempting to be overly chatty just to see what song he bursts into...

haha first thing that comes to mind Im guessing But it could be a fun game to play...not sure how chatty I will be that time of the morning!

HERE YANTI!!! This is the strand with whats happening...

I had a really fun/funny evening on Friday night. Dave and I bounced from one random activity to another.

I don't even remember all the different thing we...The plan was to pack his bike and ship it Saturday before he left.  Two hours after starting to pack the bike we had done a lot of conversing, but still hadn't gotten out the bike, box, or any packing materials.  I decided that we should fix dinner...spaghetti.  While it is cooking I learned about a seasame street character that I had been unfamiliar with.  Dave periodically bursts into song...this time it was Captain Vegetable's theme song which includes a verse about rescuing eddie from a diet of only spaghetti.

That song is high-larious. Glad you had such a good time! So I assume the bike did eventually get packed after all the fun ...

at the same time we are discussing the color of something(I don't remember what-maybe the raspberry vinagrette?) and get on the subject as crayola crayons being the color standard, which led to when they started introducing new colors...so of course dinner was abandoned half way through and we were back in my room with a box of 96 crayola crayons dumped onto the floor.  We spent at least 20 minutes going through the crayons, pulling out the strangely named colors, our favorite colors, etc.  My laptop was handy so I was able to see the Captian Vegetable clip.

I still haven't decided whether Dave is very good at singing the song...or very bad at singing the song...

I will be on my bike therefore I will be happy...although still waking up I suspect....

Just a bit nervous now.. its weird i cant even work out why I have this stupid crush on him... its not like he is overly attractive, or I see that much of him or anything!
