It happens....good work getting it done. I was the same tonight....#233....2.2 miles as a brick off a 45 minute bike.

Day #26: 15 miles on the bike, and then a 3 mile run. It was close to 90 here today, and while I am not going to complain about that, I certainly wasn't used to it. I've barely run outside above about 65 so far, so it was a tough adjustment...but one I need to start getting used to!

#80 - intervals 7x500's with 30 seconds light jog between, tough but good, had to keep the warm up and cool down short due to time

Day 536, 6.1 easy pace miles. this run puts me over 1300 miles for the year so far. I am on pace for over 3500 for this year, actually 3600 miles. Maybe I can get to 4k on the year, we'll see.

3 mile.  Taper week. I have a hard time running slow, part ego, and part just wanting to feel like I am getting a good workout...especially when my legs feel good.  Didn't bring a watch, but I ran too fast.  Tomorrow I will try to run easier.  I think I can learn, eventually.

Day #27 with yet another brick. I'm loving being able to bike outside comfortably, so I've turned it into quite a few bricks, though I've been 20 minutes between a few times. Tonight was 13 miles on the bike followed less than 5 minutes later by a 2 mile run. Need to get a long run in one of these days, hopefully this weekend.

I'll be doing short runs until sunday, then It'll be longer. Im in a recovery week right now so I wont get a real long (for me) run in until next sunday... I'm doing this with my Oly training program, so I can't really kill it every day.

Day 527, 4.3 miles. I hate tapering but the race is tomorrow. Yesterday was 526 not 536 like I typed in.

#3 - 2 miles... barely made the official length requirement. It was my first brick ever after a 16 mile ride where I rode too hard. My left foot is bothering me a little... hopefully I can correct whatever is causing the pain.

#28 - 12 mile bike followed by a 3 mile run, but had to stop and help a female Ironman triathlete change her tire before the run!

Day 528 and hold on to your knickers everyone, Hell froze over today. I actually won a race! Yes not just my age group but the overall winner of the 22.7 miles, all four races of the Cinco today. I got a new best on my half marathon of 1:37:16 and my Garmin had it .2 miles long. I finished the half marathon, 5 miles, 3.1 miles, and 1.5 miles in a total of 2:54:59. Not to bad for a 50 year man huh. I actually won every leg of the race that the folks running all of them were in. What a different animal it is to have a break in between each distance depending how fast you ran each leg was how long you had a break for. I was the second oldest person running all the races too so I beat a bunch of young bucks and does.

Great job!  That's incredible!  Great time on the half, especially knowing you had 9.6 more miles to go!!!

Thanks, I decided to just let it rip for every race and try to hold on at the end.  my slowest pace was the 5K just over 8 minute mile but everything else was under 8 minute miles. It was a fairly hilly course too, the half had almost 1000 foot elevation gain.

That's awesome! Congrats!

I did 4 miles for run 4 today. Foot felt better during the run but its kind of sore right now... I think it has to do with movement, when i sit for a while it will hurt when I get up until I move around for a while, then it goes away... We'll see how things progress!

30 days complete with a pretty easy 3.  Ran the first 2 and then did a bit of a walk/run for the final mile, as I was feeling a flare up of the PF.  Still...that's 30 days.  I guess I'll keep it going!
